Madonna fans were left terrified for the singer's health last year, after her management team revealed she'd been admitted to the intensive care unit following a serious bacterial infection.
And their worst fears were further realised still, when reports emerged that the 65-year-old superstar had been induced into a coma, after she was said to have been found unresponsive in her New York City apartment.
The pop icon's team were quick to announce the postponement of her Celebration Tour, from June to October.

Her talent manager, Guy Oseary, told press at the time: "On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU."
He went on to insist, however, that the 'Vogue' hitmaker's condition was improving - despite her remaining under medical supervision - and that a full recovery was expected.
Speaking of her tour cancellation - without alluding too much over the star's health - he added: "We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows."
The mother-of-six's family also released a statement to the MailOnline at the time, admitting they were 'preparing for the worst'.

"For the past couple of days, no one really knew which direction this was going to turn," one member of her family admitted.
"That is why it was kept a secret since Saturday. Everyone believed that we may lose her and that has been the reality of the situation."
The family member also added that the health scare had been a 'wake up call' for Madonna, revealing she'd been been pushing herself 'extremely hard' ahead of her upcoming tour.

They said: "This really woke her the f*** up. She has not been living as healthy a life as she should be for her age, and she has been wearing herself thin over the past couple of months.
"She thinks that she is still young when, in fact, she is not. She also believes that she is invincible."
Following her recovery, Madonna opened up about the terrifying ordeal.

She previously reminisced over the days where it was touch and go, telling the audience during one of her tour dates last year: "I want to say it was a crazy year for me as well. And I didn’t think I was gonna make it.
"Neither did my doctors. That’s why I woke up with all of my children sitting around me. I forgot five days of my life… or my death, I don’t really know where I was.
"But the angels were protecting me and my children were there. And my children always save me, every time."
On Monday (4 March), speaking at her show at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, Madonna delved into further detail about her time spent in a coma, even going as far as revealing what her first word was when she awoke.

"This show every night is not really so hard on me physically. It’s hard on me emotionally because I’m really telling you the story of my life," she gushed.
"My heart is on my sleeve. I’ve fallen off a lot of horses and broken a lot of bones… but nothing can stop me."
After her assistant revealed that her first word was 'No!', she went on: "I’m pretty sure that was God saying to me, 'Do you want to come? Want to come up with me?'"
