Miley Cyrus has been sued for copyright infringement regarding her Grammy award winning hit 'Flowers'.
'Flowers' was a massive hit back in 2023 and won Record of the Year at the Grammys, as well as Best Pop Solo Performance.
The win was especially poignant as it's thought to have been inspired by the breakdown of her marriage to Liam Hemsworth - who she was wedded to between 2018 and 2020.
The lyrics include: "We were good, we were gold / Kinda dream that can't be sold / We were right 'til we weren't / Built a home and watched it burn."

During an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Cyrus shared: "The relationship I had for 10 years was an amazing time in my life."
So, a very personal song you'd think, but according to a new lawsuit it 'undeniably' rips off Bruno Mars' song 'When I Was Your Man'.
In documents obtained by TMZ, Tempo Music Investments are making the claim that Cyrus’ 2023 ballad shares 'many musical similarities' with Bruno Mars’ 2012 hit.

Tempo Music Investments, which is an investment platform claiming to own a share of the copyright in Mars' song, allege the 'chorus, harmony, melody, chord progressions and lyrics' were taken 'intentionally' from Mars' hit.
Mars himself isn't named as a plaintiff in the documents.
The filing includes the statement from Tempo Music Investments that: "It is undeniable based on the combination and number of similarities between the two recordings that ‘Flowers’ would not exist without ‘When I Was Your Man.’”

When accepting her Grammy, Cyrus said: "This award is amazing, but I really hope that it doesn’t change anything, because my life was beautiful yesterday.
"Not everyone in the world will get a Grammy, but everyone in this world is spectacular, so please don’t think that this is important.”
Months after the Grammys, in June, Miley reflected further on her win in an interview with W Magazine.
She said: "No shade, but I’ve been doing this for 20 years, and this is my first time actually being taken seriously at the Grammys?

“I’ve had a hard time figuring out what the measurement is there, because if we want to talk stats and numbers, then where the f**k was I? And if you want to talk, like, impact on culture, then where the f**k was I?”
She then added: "This is not about arrogance. I am proud of myself.”
