Taylor Swift fans stunned as she changes title in controversial 'diss' track which completely changes who it's aimed at

Taylor Swift fans stunned as she changes title in controversial 'diss' track which completely changes who it's aimed at

Once again, the Swifties have gone into overdrive over the 34-year-old 'Cruel Summer' singer's song title

Taylor Swift fans have been left well and truly shocked after she changed one major part of her 'diss' track that completely changes who it's aimed at.

Now, the 34-year-old singer dropped her 11th studio album, titled 'The Tortured Poets Department', a few months back (19 April) and Swifties across the globe haven't pressed pause ever since.

Even though the album features a whole bunch of tracks, there's one song in particular that really caught the attention of listeners.

A song previously titled 'thanK you aIMee' on the anthology version of the album very clearly had three capitalised letters reading out 'KIM' - something which many fans believed was a reference to Kim Kardashian.

The song is all about a fictional bully named 'Aimee' and people were left wondering why Taylor made a point to capitalise the letters 'KIM' in the song title - especially given their previous public feud which dates back to 2016.

Now, while all of this is just a matter of speculation, it didn't stop fans from rushing to social media to share their speculations.

One X user penned: "OMG. thanK you aIMee. I am speechless."

"thanK you aIMee," wrote a second. "KIM??"

A third quipped: "not a song about a school bully being called thanK you aIMEE. KIM."

"ThanK you aIMee is DERANGED I'm crying," piped up another. "Holy sh*t, the way she literally said 'and so I changed your name and any real defining clues' BUT THE DEFINING CLUES ARE LITERALLY THE CAPITAL LETTERS IN THE TITLE. I'm laughing so hard that's actually so funny."

Well, there's now another update in the whole 'diss' track saga as the capitalisation of the song title has now changed.

Swift recently released a standard digital version of The Tortured Poets Department, which included the song that she mashed up with 'Mean' at Wembley Stadium last night (15 August).

Instead of reading as 'thanK you aIMee' spelling out 'KIM', the song is now 'thank You aimEe' which, as you can see, spells out 'YE' - something many people reckon is a jab towards Kim's ex-husband, Kanye West, who now goes by the name Ye.

The supposed between Swift, West and Kardashian began after he mentioned the singer in his song 'Famous', where he says: "I feel like me and Taylor Swift might still have sex. Why? I made that b**ch famous."

Kardashian claimed that Swift had approved the lyrics and shared audio clips of a phone call where she appeared to be fine with it, as per NME.

Swift later claimed that it wasn't the full call, leading to an unedited version being released in 2020.

In response to the name change, one X user wrote: "If she’s petty enough to do 'thank You aimEe'…imagine how petty the RepTV vault tracks are gonna be."

"Wait was YE really the letters capitalized in this release??" asked a second while a third penned: "OMG YE! WHAT DOES THIS MEAN AHHH."

"That's crazzyyy," a fourth piped up, while a fifth chimed in: "We’re so getting a Dear John level call out and I cannot wait."

Tyla has contacted West's representatives for comment.
