Ever since their son, Brian, took his own life after violently murdering his fiancé Gabby Petito in September 2021, Florida parents Roberta and Chris Laundrie have attempted to avoid the public eye.
The release of brand-new Netflix series American Murder: Gabby Petito, however, which tells the story of how Brian murdered his fiancée, has brought the case to the attention of millions of subscribers once again, leading many to wonder where the Laundries are now.

Little is known about the Laundrie parents' current goings-on, being that they've remained out of the spotlight since the court case.
Prior to Gabby's murder, Brian's parents ran a firm selling and servicing commercial juicing devices, titled Juicer Services Incorporated.
The company is now listed as 'permanently closed' on Google.
According to HELLO!, the couple still live in North Port, Florida.
What about Brian's sister, Cassie?

Roberta and Chris Laundrie's eldest child Cassie seemingly cut all contact with her parents in the years after Brian's death.
On the latest post of an Instagram account that appears to belong to her, she recently wrote: "If you’re new here. And just starting to attack me today. I’ve been non contact with my parents for almost two years. Have fun."
The same profile - which belongs to a 'Cassie Laundrie' and has the username @voe.qt - also shares frequent posts surrounding mental health and suicide awareness, hinting that it is Brian's sister.
"I miss and think about my brother every day," a September 2023 upload read.

"Today marks one year I’ve been without him but it’s worse than that [and] not for Facebook.
"I just want to remind my friends here that they are loved always and no matter what you’re going through, life is beautiful even in the pain."
Gabby Petito's disappearance
Interest surrounding the Laundrie family arose when 22-year-old aspiring-YouTuber Gabby Petito first embarked on a road trip of the US in August 2021, alongside her long-term partner and fiancé Brian Laundrie.

On 11 September, however, her mother Nichole Schmidt filed a missing persons report, claiming not to have heard from Gabby in several weeks.
She and ex-husband Joe Petito had previously appealed to Brian's parents Roberta and Chris Laundrie for help in finding the pair, but they didn't hear back.
The Petitos later discovered that Brian had actually returned home to Florida in Gabby's van at the end of August, and that the family had hired an attorney. His sister, Cassie, told police at the time that her brother had left his fiancé at a hotel in Wyoming after getting into a fight
Suspicions about Brian soon intensified, and he mysteriously disappeared on 17 September after being named as a person of interest.

That day, authorities searched the Laundrie home for potential evidence, stumbling across a note Roberta had written to her son titled 'Burn After Reading', in which she pledged to help Brian if he ever need to 'dispose of a body', as per CNN.
She later insisted that the letter had been penned to Brian prior to his and Gabby's road trip.
Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie's bodies are discovered

Gabby Petito's body was found near Grand Teton National Park on 19 September. An autopsy later revealed that she'd died via strangulation.
Brian Laundrie’s body was found at Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park a month later. He'd taken his own life with a shotgun.
A notebook discovered hear his body contained a untruthful story about Gabby's death, which didn't make sense with the autopsy results.
After claiming she'd gotten injured during the trip, he admitted that he 'ended her life'.
"I thought it was merciful," Brian had written.
"We still don't know the extent of Brian's parents' involvement," FBI Special Agent, Loretta Bush admits in the doc. "But what we do know, is that, on August 29, Brian made a flurry of calls to his parents."
Brian's sister Cassie has since maintained that she cooperated with police at all times, and insisted that when she met with her brother between 1-6th September, she had no idea Gabby's mother was worried she was missing.

Gabby's parents, Nichole Schmidt and Joe Petito, filed a lawsuit against Roberta and Chris Laundrie in 2022 for at least $100,000 in damages.
The grieving mother and father claimed the Laundries had assisted their son in covering up Gabby's murder, and accused them of knowing she was already dead throughout the initial investigation.
Chris Laundrie speaks in court
Speaking in court at the time - as per WFLA - Chris admitted that Brian had made a number of calls after murdering Gabby, but insisted he had no idea at the time that a crime had been committed.
"I asked him, you know, how is he doing, and he — you know, he was not calm and he got very excited and told me things had — you know, 'Gabby's gone' and he got very frantic," he recalled.
"Everything was frantic and quick. So, you know, Gabby's gone..."
Chris continued: "He said, you know, 'Can you help me,' you know, and he might need a lawyer, you know. And I would — I asked him why he wouldn't tell me. He was very frantic.
"Everything was frantic and I started to not really comprehend, and then he said just, you know, 'Can you help me?'.

"And I said, 'Okay. I'll help you.' And I calmed him down and I said — I don't know.
"It was — it was all mumbled and I still don't remember everything that happened."
In 2024, the case was settled out of court, with the Petito's telling press that, after a 'long day of mediation', all parties had 'reluctantly agreed' to the deal to 'avoid further legal expenses and prolonged personal conflict' - as per the BBC.
The Laundries respond to the Netflix doc

Steven Bertolino - an attorney for Roberta and Chris Laundrie - reportedly told The Sun US last week that, although the documentary was formatted how the family had expected, they do not believe their portrayal is fair.
"One perspective depicted as the 'truth' as seen through their lens," the lawyer told the publication. "Similar to Republicans and Democrats fighting it out lately."
Bertolino continued: "Each side believes their perspective is correct. Hard to see through the lens of the other with all the noise and distrust.
"To be clear though, there were no contradictions by my clients Chris and Roberta Laundrie."
He added that the doc 'contained many inaccuracies, incorrect juxtapositions of timelines, and misstatements and omissions of fact', suggesting that this could have been 'deliberate to capture their 'truth'', or 'due to simple error'.
"We all know Brian took Gabby's life and Brian then took his own as well. Let the parents of both Gabby and Brian mourn them in peace."
