After Netflix finally dropped the long-awaited third instalment of Bridgerton, it’s got people all bent out of shape.
Now, we know that when the streaming platform released the trailer it was like the interview collectively screamed and danced around, but when viewers watched part 1? It was insanity.
Of course, dear reader, we know that the Penelope/ Colin love storey is here and it’s getting heated, but we didn't know how hot it would be. Watch it below:
The new instalment is being released in two parts, with the first half having dropped on Netflix on 16 May and the second to follow on the 13 June.

The trailer is just a sneak peek of what fans were getting and let me tell you, we were all shocked by what we saw.
If you thought Colin saying to Penelope, ‘If a husband is what you seek, then let me help you’, was as good as it was going to get…brace yourselves.
Penelope and Colin’s relationship is the centre of Part 1 and it is everything a more.
It’s also bloody raunchy with full frontal nudity! Here’s what fans said:

“Just finished Bridgerton S3 Part 1……..no one talk to me, I’m NOT ok, it was so good I’m crying……and I have to wait till next month for the rest of the season…..this is so unfair,” someone wrote.
Another said: “You mean to tell me i have to wait for part 2 for another month after that cliffhanger????? #BRIDGERTON #BridgertonSeason3.”
Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope, previously revealed what viewers can expect from the next series, as we focus on her character’s relationship with Colin (Luke Newton).

Speaking about what's to come at Netflix’s FYSEE Space way back in 2022, Coughlan said: “Like Lady Whistledown, I have been keeping a secret for quite some time and I can confirm to you all that Season 3 is Colin and Penelope’s love story.
“I have kept that secret since two weeks into Season 2. This is the first time I am saying it here.”
In a recent interview with Tyla, the actor also admitted she found the prospect of stepping centre stage with her very own romantic storyline ‘terrifying’.
The star noted 'a lot of people will relate to' her character, explaining: "I think she's someone who feels invisible and I think anyone that's ever felt like that is going to really connect to the story."

But what did she warn us? There’s a 'cliffhanger midway' too.
"So, there's two parts, and I'm very excited,” she said.
We didn’t listen!
