It's been just 24 hours since then the second part of the third season of Bridgerton finally hit our screens and we're already itching for season four.
All in all, Netflix viewers have been treated to 20 episodes of the 'ton and we clearly simply can't wait for the next batch of steamy period drama telly to finally drop on the streaming platform.
Well, don't hold your breath, as Bridgerton fans have already been left absolutely fuming after Netflix revealed just how long they'd have to wait for the next season.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Jess Brownell explained: "We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited, and then they have to be dubbed into every language."

She went on: "And the writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace, we’re trying to speed up but somewhere in that range."
So, now that the two-year countdown has commenced, let's take a look at the Bridgerton stars who have confirmed their return to season four after the second part of season three dropped on Netflix.
Now, as we know, season three focuses mainly on friends-to-lovers Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, played by Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan respectively.

However, the fourth season will reportedly be centred around Benedict Bridgerton's love story.
Any Polin fans out there will also be happy to know that Luke and Nicola will also be returning.
However, Nicola did confirm to TheWrap that she doesn't know 'anything' about the upcoming season.

Brownell added: "We will definitely hope to bring them back in future seasons because I think there's more story there."
The stars of season two, Simone Ashley who played Kate Sharma and Jonathan Bailey who stars as Anthony Bridgerton may also return.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Brownell said: "We love them so much, and they're both so incredibly talented and we want to support their ability to do other projects, while still leaving the door open for them to return when and if they're able.

"So the India send-off is a plot device in certain ways that allows us to leave the door open."
It also seems like Cressida Cowper's story isn't over yet.
It seems like we'll be seeing some more of Cressida, played by Jessica Madsen, with Brownell telling Entertainment Weekly: "It felt a little early in this season for her to get a happily ever after just because we've watched two seasons of her being a real bully to Penelope.
"She has a little bit more growth to do, but I do want to give her a happy ending eventually."

Well, I guess we'll simply have to wait and see.
