Listen up Bridgeton fans, we've got another update on the upcoming season four and it's a juicy one.
Ever since we rattled through both part one and two of the latest season of everyone's favourite period drama, we've all been itching for our next fix and were all understandably gutted after finding out we'd have to wait at least a whole year for it.
Bridgerton's showrunner, Jess Brownell, has previously teased exactly when we can start the countdown for our latest fix of the 'ton - and it's clear many Netflix viewers are far from happy.

Opening up about which character the next season will centre around, Jess revealed to The Hollywood Reporter: "I have almost slipped up a couple of times, so keep asking, and maybe I’ll slip up.
"I’m really excited about what we’re writing. We’re toward the end with the writers room season, with the scripts. And I feel like it’s some of my best work and my writers room’s best work. We’ve just really gelled our collaboration, and we’re firing on all cylinders, so I can’t wait for fans to see what we have."
She continued, sharing with fans just how long they'll have to wait for the next season: "We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited, and then they have to be dubbed into every language.

"And the writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace, we’re trying to speed up, but somewhere in that range."
Now, we already know there's been a whole bunch of chatter about which character season four will centre around and it seems like we've finally got our answer.
The streaming platform took to social media last month (23 July) to announce the exciting news that the character in question will be none other than fan-favourite, Benedict Bridgerton played by Luke Thompson.
But what will the future hold for the other Bridgerton brother, Anthony?

Well, the actor who plays Anthony, Jonathan Bailey, has finally addressed whether he will return for season four.
Speaking on Good Morning America today (16 August), Bailey teased: "Well, I look forward to reading the scripts.
"No, I mean we’re gonna follow the stories. The thing about Bridgerton that is so brilliant is that there’s so many different ways you can fall in love as humans, and that’s what the show will explore, and obviously being the older brother, I’m gonna be there to support the youngsters as we go."

And if that wasn't enough of a concrete confirmation that Bailey will be returning as Anthony on the beloved Regency-era drama, he then added: "I have a couple of weeks etched out in my schedule for returning, so I’m really excited.
"And Luke Thompson is gonna be stunning. And who knows who his love interest is gonna be?"
Speaking of his on-screen brother, Bailey gushed: "Benedict’s full of wonder and joy.
"He’s the beating heart of the family. It should be brilliant. Can’t wait!"
