Netflix forced to change graphic name of new hit movie starring Nicole Kidman

Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman star in a steamy new rom-com that's just landed on Netflix and it looks as though viewers are in for a treat.

In the flick, Efron, 36, plays self-absorbed Hollywood star Chris Cole, who strikes up a romantic - and very secret - relationship with his personal assistant’s widowed mother, Brooke.

Said widowed mother is played by Nicole Kidman, 57, while Joey King, 24, plays PA Zara.

Given the raunchy nature of the new movie, that is titled A Family Affair, the actual premise of the film appears to be the opposite of family friendly.

In a recent interview, the Hollywood mega-stars revealed that the flick originally had a very different name, which reflected the explicit undertones.

And it seems it was that shocking title which made the actors pick the script up to begin with.

Talking to People, Efron said: “That made the script stay at the top of the pile.

“It’s like, what on Earth could this be about?”

Kidman revealed: "Originally, it had a different title..."

"It was called Motherf*****," Efron chimed in.

To which Kidman joked: "Somehow that didn't make it onto the Netflix title."

We wonder why...

The 36-year-old also added that he was slightly apprehensive about filming the scenes with Kidman, despite noting that she was ‘wonderful’.

He said: “I was still a bit apprehensive but reuniting with Nicole is always so great, and as talented as she is as an actress, she is equally kind, caring and wonderful to spend time with.”

Praising his co-star, Efron said the pair ‘jumped’ at the chance of working with each other, and that their on-screen chemistry was ‘seamless’.

He added: “It was like, this is perfect.

“What better way to reconnect? And we get to have fun.”

King, who starred in The Kissing Booth, gushed about how excited she was to work with Efron.

She said: “Zac was my everything when I was younger, and you still are, Zac.

“There’s so many moments that are pinch me over the years and this is definitely one of them.”

The 12-rated film, which hit Netflix on 28 June, marks Kidman and Efron's second time playing on screen lovers.

The actors originally worked together more than a decade ago in the 2012 release of the movie The Paperboy.
