Fans have spotted a Sex Education star in new Netflix film Accused, saying he gives a ‘stunning’ performance in the gripping thriller.

You may know Chaneil Kular as Sex Education’s Anwar Bakshi, one third of the well-dressed Untouchables clique alongside best friends Ruby Matthews and Olivia Hanan.

But he’s now traded the sharp outfits and well-coiffed hair for a somewhat grittier role in a ‘pulse-pounding thriller’ on Netflix.
“After a young man is wrongly accused of a horrific crime on social media, violent vigilantes invade his family home – forcing him to fight for his life,” a synopsis says.
After the film dropped on the streaming site on 22 September, it’s already got many fans – with many saying it boasts a level of intensity they've never felt before.

"Omggg everyone needs to watch Accused on Netflix, this has been the most intense hour of my life," one wrote.
Other Netflix users have also flooded to social media to share their praise for an unrecognisable Kular, with one viewer commenting: "If you haven’t watched Accused on Netflix you really should. A stunning performance from @Chaneil_Kular - just brilliant."
Someone else said: “Watching #Accused on @NetflixUK and feeling sick to my stomach. @Chaneil_Kular, you are amazing and what a superb job you've done, BUT I NEED HARRI'S MUM AND DAD TO COME HOME RIGHT NOW! This is so stressful!”

As well as praising the film for its 'intense' scenes, fans have also noticed that it draws on issues that very much exist in the real world.
"Accused on Netflix is phenomenal. Tense af but made me cry because of the sad reality," one viewer wrote.
