She was visiting the zoo with a man called Brian Scott Lovvorn, and her two sons.
Police were called after Brian was allegedly 'screaming and shouting' and causing a scene following the supposed camel bite.
Eyewitnesses said Amy was given medical treatment at the zoo and was seen being wheeled out on a stretcher with a bandage around her forearm following the bite.
Tennessee Safari Park co-owner Claude Conley denied any bite happened, telling The US Sun: "There is no bruising. She cut her arm on something, it’s not consistent with an animal bite."

"Her boyfriend or the man she was with was acting crazy, screaming and yelling and all kinds of stuff."
The owner added: "He got mad that the police came out there because he just wanted the ambulance to come."
Amy Slaton's arrest
When police arrived they noticed something unusual about Amy's car.
The Sheriff's department released a statement saying they were met with 'suspicious odours' coming from the vehicle, and a man and two children were inside the car at the time.
Police said Amy was in possession of marijuana and illegal mushrooms, and they were in 'plain sight' in the car.
Amy was arrested for illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule VI drugs, as well as two counts of child endangerment because there were two kids in the vehicle.
Her sister Tammy came to collect the children following the arrest.
Amy and Brian were booked into the Crockett County Jail, where they were later seen leaving 'hand-in-hand' following a $10,000 bond.
Guilty plea
According to court documents, Amy decided to enter a guilty plea for simple possession as part of a deal which saw some of the charges for child abuse and endangerment being dropped.
The plea deal was entered at Crockett County Court, and the dropped charges meant she no longer faced a potential prison sentence.
What punishment will Amy Slaton face?
Amy received a suspended sentence of 11 months and 29 days, including time served.
The plea agreement also means she has agreed to complete a drug and alcohol assessment as well as attending parenting classes.
The couple have also had to pay $1,000 in fines, and are forbidden from contacting or attending the Tennessee Safari Park.
Crockett County District Attorney General Frederick Agee wrote an email to a local news outlet, WREG.
He said: "This is the Season of Giving and we understand that Amy Halterman and Brian Lovvorn are the pride and joy of the State of Kentucky and they will now be back in Kentucky for the Holidays."
