Star of 1000-Lb Sisters Tammy Slaton has opened up about what makes her ‘still insecure’ about her body after she has managed to lose a staggering 500 lbs.
The TLC series started back up again for its sixth season, which features Tammy and her sister Amy, who have been on their weight-loss journeys since starting the show four years ago.
The pair, who were unable to walk independently and needed significant care because of their weight, went on to lose an amazing amount in their bid to be healthier and to feel better about their bodies.
In the new season, Tammy and Amy can be seen waiting for a makeover, as they choose each other’s new look.

But things turn candid with 38-year-old Tammy revealing why she’s still insecure, despite losing a significant amount of weight after once weighing 725 lbs.
As the pair were sitting in the salon, a hairdresser asked the pair: “So what are you guys here for today?”
Tammy responded: “Just something new. A new life, a new body, a whole new look.”
The siblings go on to have a back-and-forth joke about their makeovers, where Tammy says to the camera: “Amy needs a makeover too because she don't do nothing for herself. Dyes her hair once in a blue moon. Literally blue! But I think to help her in her confidence and boost her self-esteem.”

She added a sly ‘we’ll see’, before Amy chimed in that yellow is still a natural colour’ of hair.
Jokes aside, it turns out that reality TV star Tammy doesn’t feel comfortable in her skin, even though she accomplished something amazing with her health journey.
She admitted: “Getting a makeover for me is very important because I've come so far with my weight loss, and with all the excess skin, I'm still insecure about myself and I want to feel beautiful.”

However, the pair, and their brother Chris, are still waiting for Dr Smith to approve them for a skin removal surgery.
Until then, it’s a waiting game.
In the meantime, the family travelled to the UK after a genealogist revealed that they shared British heritage and are now set on uncovering whether their mum told the truth about having Royal ancestry.

The new season aired not long before Amy was arrested and faced child endangerment charges at a Tennessee safari park on Labour Day.
According to reports, police were called to the Alamo safari park after it was reported that someone had been bitten by a camel.
When they arrived, they noted 'suspicious odours' coming from Amy's car, and she was arrested on charges of illegal possession of Schedule I, illegal possession of Schedule VI, and two counts of child endangerment. That’s because Slaton's two children were in the car at the time, aged four and two.
A man named Brian Scott Lovvorn was also in the vehicle and given the same charges
