After months of teasers, weeks of hints and days of anticipation, the 2024 instalment of Big Brother has finally landed.
Last night (6 October), presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best welcomed a brand new batch of fresh-faced housemates to the infamous house.
And while some contestants seemed to gel from the get-go, viewers predicted others would undoubtedly butt heads within a matter of days.

As well as gossiping about this year's guests on social media, it sounds as though many fans of the long-standing reality hit have been frantically researching the line-up in an attempt to get to know them on a deeper level before the series really gets going.
After all, who doesn't love an Insta-stalk?
It seems Big Brother has reinstated its 'social media blackout' rules, meaning each contestants' accounts have been suspended in a bid to protect their mental health.
"The protocols in place for the 2023 ITV series have been evaluated and reviewed with ITV’s compliance and Duty of Care team, the mental health professionals engaged for this series and Big Brother’s welfare team, including Banijay UK’s Head of Welfare," the broadcaster explained last year.

Worry not, however, as we've compiled a list of this year's housemates' full names, as well as all the need-to-knows about their lives...
Dean Smith
Dean is a 35-year-old barber from East London.

Despite being the last contestant to enter the house last night, viewers are already predicting that Dean is bound to set the cat among the pigeons this year - apparently, he's betting on himself, too.
"I’ll probably be nominated because I can be annoying," he told press ahead of his arrival. "Sometimes if there’s a silence I like to fill it."
Dean added: "I’ll probably get nominated for talking too much."
Marcello Spooks
Advert
Marcello is a 34-year-old youth mentor/rapper, also from East London.
Unusually, he's also made some pretty bold statements about what he hopes to achieve while on the show, admitting he's open to romance.
And speaking about what he'd do with the £100,000 prize, he's even more adorable.
"I would treat my mum and my grandma," Marcello confessed.

"They’ve been there for me through thick and thin and have always supported me. I would love to take them away, look after them. After that, I’d love to create some security for myself."
Sarah Griffiths
Sarah, 27, is a spa account manager from Shrewsbury.
She described her stint on the telly as the 'one crazy thing' she wants to do before she and her partner settle down.
A self-confessed outdoorsy chick, Sarah predicted her 'big mouth' might get her into trouble in the house, claiming that 'being too loud, being annoying and being messy' might be the reason she's evicted.
Izaaz Miah
Swansea-born Izaaz, 29, now lives in London, where he works as a sales consultant.
A self-confessed big mouth, this father-of-one - who has a five-year-old son - admitted he's definitely not known for 'beating around the bush'.
Despite his brazenness, Izaaz believes he'll get on well with the wider group.
"I’ll bring a lot of happiness and kindness," he claimed. "I reckon I’ll be there for a lot of people.
"I’m not the type of person to fall out with anyone and if I did, I’d make up for it. I think I’ll bring a lot of positivity to the group."
Hanah Haji
One of the youngest of this year's stars, Hanah is 24 and works in West London as a HR consultant.
Describing herself as a 'huge drama queen', she claimed she's on the show for a good time and to show off her 'pure vibes'.
Speaking of the elimination process, Hanah added: "I feel like whoever nominates is just a hater, babes! I think it might be my opinions that people nominate me for.
"No one can nominate me for being a dirty babes, I’m far from that - no one can come for me in regards to cleaning."
Ryan Bradshaw
Ryan is a 28-year-old marketing and events worker living in Stockport, who is originally from Blackpool.
Claiming to have been a fan of the show since day one, he now believes, however, that it's gotten too predictable, and he plans to 'shake it up'.
"|t’s been a bit of a childhood dream to go on it," Ryan admitted. "I feel like over the recent years, it’s gone a bit tame and people are in there for other motives and I think having someone normal like me in there will shake it up."
Ooh, go on Ryan. Tell us how you really feel.
Thomas Atkinson
The baby of the group, Thomas is a 20-year-old amputee footballer from Carlisle.
Asked why he's taking part in the show, he replied: "Yolo."
Thomas went on: "I like trying everything in the world. I feel like I want to give everything a go. This was another opportunity where I thought 'You only live once', and I can be one of the few people who’ve said that I’ve done Big Brother.
"I’m only young and it’s one of those experiences I can look back on and tell my kids, my grandkids what I’ve done. If I don’t make it to the end then that’s alright with me."
Ali Bromley
Leicester-born Ali, 38, now lives in London and is a forensic psychologist.
Despite the seriousness of her professional career, she said she hopes to bring both 'humour' and 'friendship' to the house.
Ali adds, however, that her upfront-ness can sometimes get her into trouble.
"I think I will say my opinion out of turn, and it will rub someone up the wrong way," she confessed.
"If someone does something I think maybe isn’t kind, or could have been a bit better thought through, I have this thing where I tend to tell people."
Lily Benson
20-year-old Lily - who works as a Chinese takeaway server from Warrington - joins Thomas as one of the youngest of this year's stars.
Asked why she thought to join the line-up, she confessed it was all planned to take revenge on her ex, whose favourite show is Big Brother.
"We broke up," she explained. "I thought ‘I’m going to go on his favourite TV show’. I’d never heard of it. When I dated him, he was obsessed with it and I was like ‘what is it?’ because he was older.
"When we broke up, I saw the advert and I thought I’m going to apply for his favourite TV show and get on it - I didn’t think I would. I also think it will be a cool experience."
Bold move - I like it.
Martha Church
Martha is a 26-year-old NHS Administrator and rabbit mum who lives in Scarborough, though she's originally from Margate.
Asked what she'll bring to the table, she replied: "Personality."
"A bit of fun and a lot of laughs," Martha went on. "I don’t take things too seriously.
"Life is serious enough. I think it’s important to enjoy the good moments and funny moments in life and take it all with a pinch of salt."
Khaled Khaled
Khaled, 23, is sales manager living in Manchester, who grew up as a refugee, with his family hailing from both Lebanon and Palestine.
Unlike many of his co-stars, he hopes his appearances on the show will serve as a means of education, as opposed to gaining him fame.
"I have no interest in being famous," Khaled insisted. "I’m Lebanese and Palestinian and I thought this would be a great platform to discuss it from the point of view of someone that grew up in the west and has Middle Eastern heritage."
Good on you, Khaled.
Daze Aghaji
24-year-old London-born climate activist Daze also says she has a good reason for appearing on the show, claiming that 'there’s something about allowing yourself to find moments of grace that really interested me'.
Despite her poetic answer, she believes the reason she's most likely to be nominated is pretty simple: "Food!"
Daze explained: "I like food a lot. I know that can sometimes be a contentious thing in the house. So I’m going to try to not eat too much."
We love an honest babe.
Nathan King
Dumfries lad Nathan is a 24-year-old pork salesman who previously worked for King Charles III as his butler.
A self-confessed 'Tory', he claimed to enjoy 'spirited debate' - though, we're not too sure how that'll go down with the other contestants.
And asked what he'd do with the hefty prize money, Nathan claimed he's putting a lot of it on working on himself.
"I’m quite vain," he admitted. "I got composite bonding on my teeth last year. And they stain - I love a glass of red wine so I would get a new set of veneers so I could enjoy a glass of red wine again - I’d like to get back to that."
Segun Shodipo
Charity videographer Segun is 25 years old and lives in Watford.
A self-confessed trouble-maker, he admitted his biggest flaw is finding the funny in some of the least comical situations.
"I laugh in situations that are quite serious and people might feel disrespected," Segun confessed. "I do it just to bring some levity to situations, but I do laugh at inappropriate times."
Asked what he hopes to do with the prize money, however, he instantly won us over, claiming he wants to help his mum fund the renovation of her house and donate some money to Cancer Research UK.
Emma Morgan
The eldest of this year's contestants, Essex girl Emma, 53, owns an aesthetics business in Altrincham.
Despite her position among her co-stars, she insists that she certainly won't be acting her age in the house.
"People ask me if I’m going to be the mother hen in the house - I might have times where I’m the mother hen but generally speaking I’ll be one of the girls," Emma insisted.
"I don’t think I really act my age when I really should so I can’t see myself acting my age in Big Brother."
Rosie Williams
Rosie is 29 years old and works as a dental assistant in Cornwall, though she's originally from Essex.
Claiming she prides herself on being a 'supportive person', she admitted that she hopes to use the prize money to pay for IVF for her close friends.
"I would also like to help people with mental health issues," Rosie added. "I like helping people anyway but if I had money I’d be in a better position to do that.
"I’d also love to help dog charities - I love dogs!”
