Secret clause Coleen Rooney will have to agree to if she wants to get paid for I’m A Celebrity

Secret clause Coleen Rooney will have to agree to if she wants to get paid for I’m A Celebrity

ITV viewers are absolutely buzzing to see how Coleen Rooney fares Down Under in this year's season kicking off on the 17th of November

The wait is nearly over as we gear up to watch the upcoming season of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, which is set to grace our screens in just a few weeks' time (17 November).

Ever since we caught light of the 2024 line-up, it's safe to say we've been absolutely itching to see how contestant Coleen Rooney fares Down Under - with all the creepy-crawlies, Bushtucker Trials and general jungle chaos that inevitably comes with it.

However, there's actually a secret clause the 38-year-old TV personality will have to agree to if she wants to get paid for her stint on I’m A Celebrity.

Joining Coleen this year in the hopes of being crowned this year's 'King' or 'Queen of the Jungle' includes McFly star Danny Jones, Strictly Come Dancing legend Oti Mabuse, Loose Women star Jane Moore, Radio 1's Dean McCullough, N-Dubz singer Tulisa and boxing promoter Barry McGuigan.

The likes of Radio DJ Melvin Odoom, Coronation Street star Alan Halsall, Love Island icon Maura Higgins, BBC radio host Rev Richard Coles and internet sensation GK Barry will also be joining the mix.

Now, none of the hopeful contestants - Coleen included - will actually receive a cash prize if they win.

According to Metro, the only condition for receiving such a fee is that campmates must remain in the jungle for a specific amount of time.

Yep, there's apparently a secret clause in the contract of each fear-facing contestant, which secures them their impressive payment if they remain in the camp for at least 72 hours.

This means that, whether Coleen wins or not, she won't be taking home a lump sum cash prize, but will instead leave the jungle with a pre-agreed set fee under the condition of making it through the first three days.

While the celebs are paid a flat fee to appear on I'm A Celeb, the amount reportedly varies from contestant to contestant with the number going up depending on how famous the star in question is.

Coleen is rumoured to have received the highest fee ever to take part.

Her reported payment is said to be even higher than that of Nigel Farage, who also received an extremely hefty sum to take part in the 2023 series.

Tyla has previously reached out to ITV for comment.
