Just when you’ve FINALLY found a great series, it suddenly dawns on you that you’ve run out of episodes. There are no more.
It’s arguably one of the worst feelings, as you’ve quickly grown attached to the characters and their individual narratives.
This is one of the downsides of the streaming era, of course, though on the flipside there’s often something similar to tide you over until the next series comes along – an approach that many Bridgerton fans have been taking after finishing the first instalment of season three, knowing they’ve got to wait until next month for part two.

They’ve turned their attention to another raunchy period drama that you can currently stream in full on ITVX.
Also set in Regency era Britain, the literary gals may recognise the title as an unfinished manuscript by Jane Austen, which the series is based on – Sanditon.
Austen’s work was first named The Brothers by Austen, with the English novelist only managing to write eleven full chapters of the romance before her death in July 1817, aged 41.
The developer of Sanditon's TV adaptation, Andrew Davies, referred to the source material for the first episode before taking creative control over the script for the episodes that followed.

However, after rattling through all series via streaming, fans have been left desperate for more.
Tweeting a few months back, one said: “I don't understand why itv decided to give Sanditon another last season after cancelling the show but they can't seem to give a proper final season to Victoria after that cliffhanger.”
Someone else said: “So, um, we’re campaigning for season 4 of #Sanditon, right? RIGHT?! We did it once before. We can bring it back. I’m not ready to say goodbye to this world and these characters.”

A third joked: “I must’ve mumbled when I asked for another season of Sanditon because they gave me Sex and the City instead.”
Sadly, the series was cancelled last year, with Ben Lloyd-Hughes (who played Alexander Colbourne) explaining to the Radio Times that he’d prefer things finished without any cliffhangers, so would ‘much rather’ finish things that way.
However, he admitted he would ‘never say never’ for more in the future...
You can stream all three series of Sanditon via ITVX now.
