How much Ant and Dec actually get paid for I’m A Celeb

How much Ant and Dec actually get paid for I’m A Celeb

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! kicks off on Sunday 17 November on ITV

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is coming to an end after returning to our screens in November and providing us with weeks of TV gold.

The beloved ITV reality series has chronicled the likes of GK Barry, 25, Coleen Rooney, 38, and more as they took on Bushtucker Trials and swapped luxury for the Australian wilderness.

I’m A Celeb’s long-standing hosts Ant McPartlin, 48, and Declan Donnelly, 49 returned to the helm on Sunday 17 November, while last year’s King of the Jungle Sam Thompson, 32, fronted the revived spin-off programme, I’m a Celebrity: Unpacked.

The former Made in Chelsea star was joined in the ITV studio by 2016’s runner-up Joel Dommett, 39, and Capital FM presenter Kemi Rodgers.

Ant and Dec - whose friendship began on the set of BBC’s Byker Grove - have remained a formidable duo in television ever since their first presenting gig in 1994.

With shows like SMTV, Britain’s Got Talent and Saturday Night Takeaway already under their belts, the pair were cast as the hosts of I’m A Celeb in 2002 and the rest is history.

But how much do the pair get paid for hosting the beloved TV show?

Last November, radio station Capital FM stated that the dynamic duo were raking in a tidy £3.3 million a month.

This fee is allegedly part of their three-year exclusive £40 million contract with ITV, meaning they couldn’t work with any other broadcaster or streaming service other than ITV.

The outlet reports that this agreement sees Ant and Dec getting paid one total sum for all their work on the various programmes on the network.

And talking of money, this year’s King or Queen of the Jungle will not be awarded a cash prize at the end of the competition.

The reason is because ITV bosses have decided the contestants will instead receive a flat fee for appearing on the show.

According to Metro, the only condition for receiving such a fee is that campmates must remain in the jungle for at least 72 hours.

This means that if any of the contestants, such as McFly’s Danny Jones win, they won’t be taking home a lump sum cash prize.

Instead, they will leave the jungle with a pre-agreed set fee under the condition of making it through the first three days.

While the celebs are paid a flat fee to appear on I'm A Celeb, the amount reportedly varies from contestant to contestant.

It’s also thought the fee can skyrocket depending on how famous the star in question is.

Coleen Rooney is rumoured to have received the highest fee ever to take part, rumoured to be £5 million.

Getting Coleen secured for this year's season was definitely a major win for the network with a TV insider reportedly telling The Sun: "ITV bosses hope Coleen will spill the beans on life with hubby Wayne and her epic fallout with Rebekah Vardy, who starred in the show back in 2017."

The source added: "I’m A Celeb bosses have pulled off a huge coup."
