Asked why they signed up for a reality dating show, many Married At First Sight contestants claim they simply can't make heads or tails of 21st century dating.
'I'm sick of dating apps', 'I always get ghosted', 'I thought I'd try something new', are often the reasons given.
But in the rare case of 2024 cast member Charlie Curtis', this year's series isn't her first bid for a on-screen romance, with several eagle-eyed viewers saying they've seen her on their television sets before.

When the latest series of the reality hit landed on Channel 4 last week, fans couldn't wait to sink their teeth into this year's drama.
Among the love-hungry brides and grooms matched by MAFS' resident dating experts were 30-year-old Charlie, who was paired with 31-year-old Eve.
The duo tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony surrounded by their loved ones, having only met for the first time when Charlie sashayed down the aisle.

And although it looked as though the LGBTQ+ pair had struck up quite the connection, it soon became apparent that they were too similar for their own good.
Within a matter of days, Charlie and Eve were butting heads over every little thing, with their respectively fiery personalities preventing either of them from ever backing down during an argument.
So much so, that the most recent episode saw Charlie sensationally 'quitting' the romance experiment in a blazing row.

"They'll be no moving in together, no apartments, nothing - Goodbye!" she was seen yelling to Eve. "I'll go and enjoy my evening - alone. Like I have done all f**king honeymoon."
As we say, however, it may well be that Charlie is used to picking herself up and dusting herself off when it comes to broken television romances.
That's because some viewers of MAFS UK were quick to notice that she'd actually appeared on another dating series just last year.
Remember Lovestruck High? It aired in 2022 on Prime Video and saw 15 Brits taken to a US high school, where they date their 'classmates' in a bid to find that someone special.

Oh, and it was hosted by Lindsay Lohan.
Well, it turns out that Charlie also appeared on that.
Though she didn't find romance back then either, she did strike up quite the friendship with Junaid Ahmed, who went on to appear on TOWIE.

Claiming she got to fulfil her 'childhood dream' by appearing in the debut line-up to a brand new dating show, she wrote on a statement on Instagram at the time.
"I’ll forever be grateful that I got the chance to be a part of the OG Cast in the first ever series of Lovestruck High!"
