The highly anticipated Married at First Sight UK reunion episode aired last night, and my oh my, what a reunion it was for Kristina!
After the series - which saw almost all of the couples call it quits except Sacha and Ross, and Lacey and Nathan - finally finished, it was time for the contestants to meet again and discuss their time on the show.
However, there was one thing that happened which was branded as ‘offensive’.
So, you’ll know that within days of being paired up on the show, Eve Reid and Charlie Curtis were less than a happy couple and less than two weeks into the experiment, Eve was branded a 'manipulator' for accusing her fan-favourite wife of 'bullying her'.

This led to the couple breaking up in an explosive row and leaving the show.
Eve later shocked fans by introducing the world to her brand-new love interest, which supposedly breaks the show's 'spoiler rule', and she didn’t give any clues about who the person was.
So, when Charlie came back to the reunion alone, she was asked a question about her sexuality which came with major backlash.

It was asked by Kristina Goodsell, who was married to Kieran Chapman before they decided to call it quits too.
Kieran and Kristina seemed to have gotten on well, with a 'rotten teeth' prank pulled by Kieran which had his new bride in stitches during their nuptials.
But when Kristina opened up about her battle with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), Kieran admitted he wasn't sure he could handle a bride with a life-devastating health condition.
Their split later down the line was a shock, but the pair were adamant that they were remaining as friends forever.

With all of the MAFS UK cast all together again, Kristina must have had an itch she couldn’t shake as she asked Charlie point blank: “Are you still a lesbian?”
This comment would land her in major hot water, with people brandishing it as ‘offensive’.
This is because viewers believe that Charlie is feminine presenting, which can lead people to believe that people who are more traditionally ‘girly’ cannot really be lesbian.

One person online wrote over a clip of the former bride asking the question at the table: “Disappointed by this absolute sh*t in Channel 4. Would love to know if she’d have asked a masc presenting lesbian the same question.”
However, Kristina responded to the person that this wasn’t the case, as she claimed on her own Story: “Anyone can change their gender or sexuality at ANY TIME it was not a comment I made with any malice or rude intent guys, it was an innocent question.”
She then tagged Charlie herself and asked if she had offended her.

Someone called Jennifer then reposted the Story and wrote her scathing remark, telling Kristina: “Regardless of anything, this is an offensive question to ask any gay person. No one should have to continually prove their sexuality to anyone. You wouldn’t be asked if you were still straight or not, it’s just weird!”
To this Kristina replied: “If I had the time Charlie had I would personally question my sexuality, I’ve kissed girls and boys…I don’t see the offense.”
However, it appears that Charlie herself isn’t fussed at all, and wrote on her own Instagram account: “No @kristinagoodsell, I was not offended in anyway shape or form at your question!
“After the cards I was dealt I wouldn’t have been surprised If I went back in the closet.”
So, it appears it’s fine between the two, and it was all in jest.
