MAFS UK expert Paul Brunson has shared his response to grooms unhappy with their pairings.
The relationships expert, who works alongside Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas, has taken to Instagram to share with his 293k followers exactly why contestants having such a 'narrow type' can actually do more harm than good.
The statement comes after a bunch of outrage from Channel 4 viewers over the ways some of the grooms - namely Adam and Caspar - treated their brides after having issues of feeling 'attraction' towards them.
A tense exchange between Caspar and Emma, in which Caspar told his bride he didn't usually date 'curvy' women, led to Emma saying: "You should see qualities bigger than my clothes size. You need to work on your view of women."

Adam meanwhile said of his new bride Polly: "The initial attractions not 100 percent there. She's not my usual type. 10 out of 10 for me would be petite, brunette, dark features, tan.
"She's not what I expected.
Now, expert Paul has shared a statement on Instagram which looks very much like a dig at these two grooms.

According to the expert, research shows that when people narrow their attraction to a specific 'type', it's often a sign of 'lower self-esteem' as they're seeking someone to 'validate' them.
"But those with higher self-esteem are open to a wider range of people, focusing on connection and deeper qualities rather than just physical traits," he continued.
"This is why we need to move the conversation from finding someone who fits a 'type' to helping people build self-worth."

Paul carried on: "When we do that, we don't just become better partners - we grow as individuals.
"That's what I love about MAFS UK: it's a journey to address behaviours, heal past traumas, and teach the people in the experiment to build self- acceptance, self-esteem, and self-love.
"Through their transformations, we're also teaching millions of people at home, giving everyone the chance to learn, heal, and become better, more confident human beings."

He captioned the reposted comment: "Studies show that people who have a 'type' often have lower self esteem.
"You need to move past your 'type' and build up your self worth. You won't just become a better partner, you'll grow as an individual. I guarantee it."
MAFS viewers have since shared their stance on the matter with one Instagram viewer writing: "I think the fact that most people participating on the show have previously had a 'type' and as yet haven’t found a successful relationship speaks volumes."
A second chimed in: "It annoys me when people say they have a type... they have a preference, but clearly if they have a type and it hasn't worked EVERY SINGLE TIME then that's clearly the wrong type!"

And a final fan echoed: "I can’t agree more. If people are sticking with a type, they’ll be looking forever."
