Married at First Sight UK viewers 'can't unsee' a famous comparison someone made to groom Ryan Livesey, and if you feel like you recognise him - this could be why.

For the majority of this year's MAFS cast, it's their first time on our TV screens.

However, viewers worked out that it isn't the first rodeo for some, including bride Lacey Martin who appeared with her family on Dress to Impress back in 2020.

Someone we hadn't met until the latest season of the E4 dating show was Ryan, a former semi-professional footballer turned bin man from Manchester.

Despite not being known to the public before his stint on MAFS UK, viewers have been driving themselves crazy trying to work out exactly where they recognise him from.

Before being coupled up with Glasgow make-up artist, Sionainn Carmichael, Ryan said he was looking to find a 'down to earth, grounded wife' who has 'manners and respect for others'.

Ryan has been open with viewers since appearing on the show, letting them into some of the darkest experiences he's had in life.

He revealed that in 2017 he had was diagnosed with bladder cancer, which could come back at any time.

Ryan described it as 'something he has to live with'.

Viewers took quite the liking to the charming 28-year-old lad, turning to social media to swoon over his good looks.

One Instagram user wrote: "So handsome."

Another said: "Erm... I need my bins taking out."

A third added: "I wished it was me that married you."

As well as the compliments, many couldn't put their finger on where they knew Ryan from - or thought they did.

But one user from Reddit has seemingly cracked it, claiming that you won't be able to 'unsee' the likeness after looking at the images.

The post claimed that Ryan looked similar to a young John Travolta.

One viewer said: "I see John Travolta!!!

"His smile is gorgeous! Wish he was my bin man!! lol."

Another commented: "Omg this is it. Yes!

"I've been trying to work out who he reminds me of."

But others weren't satisfied with the comparison, claiming he looked more like Channing Tatum.

One X user gushed: "Oh my goodness - Ryan's eyes are beautiful.

"He reminds me of Channing Tatum."

While a second added: "Ryan is the British Channing Tatum."

Whoever his celeb lookalike is, one thing is for sure - Ryan's already a big hit with fans!

Married at First Sight UK airs every Monday to Thursday at 9.00pm on E4.
