Celebrity MasterChef is back and viewers aren't just focusing on the food

Celebrity MasterChef is back on our screens and we're eating up every second.

This series has already offered up a load of iconic faces, including Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby, The Traitors' Diane Carson, Love Island's Chloe Burrows and Sugababes' Mutya Buena.

The BBC series shows the celebs battling it out in the kitchen in order to win over the taste-buds of Gregg Wallace and John Torode.

While the on-screen cooking drama is more than enough to keep people hooked, viewers' eyes have recently been drawn to the logo itself.

Initially, you may just see a simple 'm' logo embedded within a swirl. But the reality is different.

One user posted on X: "I literally just realised the MasterChef logo is shaped like a hob and it’s blown my mind."

Another person said: "Only just noticed that the MasterChef logo is an electric cooker hob!"

A third person added: "I [have] literally just realised the Masterchef logo is shaped like a hob and it's blown my mind."

However, the electrical hob themed logo isn't to everybody's taste.

Another user shared: "I am always unreasonably annoyed about how the Masterchef logo is based on an electric hob when real chefs use gas hobs."

Another said: "Why is the MasterChef logo an electric hob when no actual 'MasterChef' would ever dream of cooking on an electric hob?"

A third fumed: "They'll need to sort that."

Last year's iteration saw Welsh opera singer Wynne Evans take the crown.

During the last episode, which aired on 27 August, Gregg was physically unable to finish a dish made by socialite Emma Thynn.

For dessert, Emma served a flourless dark chocolate cake with chocolate ganache, raspberries and crème fraîche.

Gregg said: "I think you need half the amount and maybe a biscuit base underneath it or something because that is a lot of chocolate, I couldn't consume that much", before bowing out.

Meanwhile, ex-footballer Jake Quickenden made a startling admission.

When talking about his skills in the kitchen, he admitted he relies on the latest kitchen must-have item.

He said: "I mostly rely on an air fryer, often throwing meals together that I’ve always known so I’m not very adventurous. I love that the show pushes you out of your comfort zone with cooking things you wouldn’t normally.”

When describing what he usually opts to make, he said: "I love a beef fillet when I go out for dinner; however, I’m not the best at making it.

"At home I love making a burger or homemade pizzas, a bit like a fakeaway.”

Celebrity MasterChef continues tonight (29 August) on BBC One at 8pm.
