Meryl Streep fans are only just realising the connection between The Devil Wears Prada and Mamma Mia.
Meryl, 75, starred as the ultimate cool-girl and self-proclaimed 'dirty hippie', Donna Sheridan, in the beloved 2008 musical comedy alongside a bunch of fellow Hollywood A-listers; Amanda Seyfried, Christine Baranski, Julie Walters, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgård.
Two years prior in 2006, however, the Golden Globe award-winning actor played a totally different role as the cut-throat editor-in-chief of the fictional fashion magazine Runway, Miranda Priestly.
Now, while it seems like the two characters couldn't be more dissimilar - it appears they share one tiny detail in common and fans are going wild over it.

Eagle-eyed cinema lovers will remember one of Miranda's many iconic looks in the blockbuster smash-hit.
In her opening entrance scene, while the whole office are sent into an absolute frenzy, Miranda enters her office floor with her signature pursed lips and disappointed glare donning a pair of stunning shades to complete the 'I'm-better-than-you' ensemble.
However, two years later while shooting the 'Money Money Money' sequence in Mamma Mia, Meryl's character Donna can be seen rocking the exact same sunglasses.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Meryl made sure the Versace sunglasses were put to good use and repurposed them for the number.
Costume designer and stylist for The Devil Wears Prada, Patricia Field, once opened up about Miranda's style which was based on Vogue's Anna Wintour.
"I know her character was originally based on Anna Wintour, but I didn't want to copy someone's style. I wanted to create a new character for Meryl, and that started with her clothes," she told Racked. "I knew the character had to be very fashionable, but I wanted her look to feel original and also to be tailored to Meryl Streep's own style."

Fans have since caught on to the news, with one social media pointing out a side-by-side comparison of the sunglasses in action.
The screenshotted tweet read: "Never noticed this detail and I've watched
both movies countless of times."
Naturally, hundreds of thousands of other fans rushed in to the comments to share their thoughts.
