Fans have been left completely disturbed over a new erotic thriller starring Jenna Ortega, 21, and Martin Freeman, 52.
The upcoming flick, directed by Jade Halley Bartlett, follows a talented young writer, played by the Wednesday star who embarks on a 'creative odyssey' when her teacher, portrayed by Freeman, assigns her a project that entangles them both in an 'increasingly complex web'.
As the lines of their teacher-student relationship blur and their lives become more and more intertwined, the pair are forced to confront their 'darkest selves' while straining to preserve their individual sense of purpose and the things they hold most dear.

The film, titled Miller's Girl, hit the silver screen across the pond late last month (26 January) and viewers were quick to call out the 'weird' age gap between the two main characters.
One person took to X, formerly Twitter, to hit out: "The hell is going on here."
Many were left pretty disturbed creeped out by the steamier scenes as they say they’ve 'seen enough' with others 'still can’t watch'.

Some even went as far as to call the whole thing 'gross', asking: "Am I the only one that thinks this is weird?"
"Do they have to make another student and teacher kind of movie… We have enough of those," asked another.
A sixth piped up: "I speak for everyone when I say we won’t be watching this mess."

"What’s Hollywood’s obsession with romanticising inappropriate behaviour for entertainment purposes???" hit out a seventh while an eighth echoed: "We’ve seen the teacher + student trope many times before… can writers come up with something else?"
Others, however, were clearly beyond stoked to see Freeman and the Nickelodeon star team up together.
One viewer said: "Miller's Girl is not even out yet and I’m already worshipping her."

"Sounds intriguing! Excited to see Jenna Ortega in another new role! And always great to watch Martin Freeman’s work," beamed a second.
A third commented: "If you think this sounds disgusting, yes that's probably the entire point of the movie."
And, a final fan added: "People in the comments are acting like these two actors were forced to play their roles for this movie... At the end of the day, this is just a film with actors playing fictional characters. Nothing else."
