Eamonn Holmes has hit back after Phillip Schofield's claims that 'three sh*ts' 'threw him under the bus'.
The former This Morning presenter is now starring in Channel 5 special which comes 16 months after sensationally resigning from television after the news of his affair with a younger colleague was made public.
Schofield admitted to the scandal, and branded the relationship 'unwise but not illegal' before undergoing several bombshell interviews with the press.

For his new show, Schofield is left to fend for himself on a desert island for 10 days,
During the show, he spends a lot of time reflecting on his ITV career - and those he perceives to have let him down.
In jaw-dropping scenes, Schofield reflects: "When what happened to me happened to me, it screwed up my favourite building in the world, and it pretty well blew away all those happy memories, and suddenly, the place became hostile to me, and that was heartbreaking.
"And the people who did it to me, know, they know how important that building was to me. They know that when you throw someone under a bus, you've got to have a really bloody good reason to do it.

"Brand, ambition is not good enough. It's not a good enough reason to throw someone under a bus."
He continued: "I was just thinking there as I was collecting wood. There are only three s**ts.
"One of them is a coward who never stepped up in queue gate.

"One of them is a coward because they never stepped up when I was being battered by one journalist.... and the other one is just brand-oriented.
The presenter opens up on his experience with ITV staff in Castaway (Channel 5)
"When you've given so much to somewhere and been so loyal, to have absolutely no loyalty shown to you. I know what I did was unwise, not sensible. But is it enough to absolutely destroy someone? Literally, destroy them."

Since then, Holmes has hit out against Schofield's remarks declaring on GB News this morning (30 September): "Well, if I'm one of the people that threw him under the bus, I'm very proud to have done it and protected children, people who are underage.
"I think he is where he deserves to be - in exile."
It's worth highlighting Schofield says his younger colleague was 20 years old when they first had any kind of sexual contact, though they met when the man was 15.

His co-presenter, Isabel Webster, then cut in: "He [Phillip] obviously stresses that this wasn't illegal, but it was ill advised."
Eamonn then interjected: "Why do we keep going back to this 'it's not illegal'.
He continued: "This man is addicted to fame, absolutely addicted to fame and funny, nobody's going to put Huw Edwards on a desert island and say, 'Huw, tell us about your experiences', but they will put Phillip Schofield on."
