Kathy Griffin 'reveals' what rumour caused infamous RHOBH fight between Lisa Rinna and Kim Richards

Kathy Griffin claims she knows what went down between The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Lisa Rinna and Kim Richards, and how Harry Hamlin was involved.

You may recall a bust-up between Lisa, 61, and Kim, 60, taking place during season five of RHOBH.

Amid their feud, the pair had flown to Amsterdam and were having dinner in a restaurant with the likes of Gigi Hadid’s mother Yolanda, 61, when everything came to a head. Take a look below:

Kim accused Lisa of gossiping about her sister, who died from an overdose, before bringing up author and actor Harry, whom Lisa has been married to since 1997.

“Let's talk about the husband,” Kim said, before Lisa launched into a defensive romp to protect her spouse.

After threatening to unleash secrets about Harry, Kim was tapped on the cheek by her friend. Later, she was subjected to a wine-swilling in the middle of the restaurant as she continued to run her mouth.

A glass actually ended up getting shattered at the end of the bust-up, causing the violent clash to go down in Real Housewives history.

Years later, comedian Kathy Griffin, 64, has shed some light on the bizarre situation.

“There was an episode of [Real Housewives of] Beverly Hills where Lisa took a glass and was so p****d at Kim Richards she freaking broke it and was going to twist it in her neck, which is my kind of b***h,” she said during a recent episode of the Trash Tuesday podcast.

"There was a rumour about Harry. I’ve never heard a single rumour about Harry in my life, and he’s been around forever."

The reality TV star used the podcast - hosted by Esther Povitsky and Khalyla Kuhn - to explain how she initially confronted Rinna about what rumour ‘p****d’ [her] off so much’.

"She’s like, ‘First of all, I blacked out in that moment — I was about to kill someone."

Kathy then noted she’d approached Harry about the so-called rumour, too.

She said: "There’s this pause and, he’s such a quiet spoken intellectual guy, and he goes, ‘They said I f****d a dog’."

"I lost it laughing," the comedian admitted. "I just thought that was the funniest thing. Of all the rumours, how did even one person be like, ‘Hmm, that is possible.’ I thought the rumour was just that he was having an affair with somebody — maybe an affair with, like, someone on the show."

According to the Illinois native, she told Harry to ‘let it ride and just go with it because that s**t is funny'

Kathy went on to reiterate that the Clash of the Titans alumni was ‘not a dog f****r’ and that she believes his wife is a ‘sweetheart’.

“She’s a ride or die. She’s super cool. Harry is a dream. He went to Yale. He’s so smart, he can talk about anything.”

In response to the star’s air-clearing podcast appearance, Lisa and Harry released a statement to US Weekly.

“Thank you to Kathy for clearing this up,” the couple’s reps shared. “It’s been really RUFF on the family.”
