Tammy Slaton, star of TLC reality TV show 1000-lb Sisters, has spoken out about the ways her life has changed following her dramatic weight loss.
38-year-old Tammy has been at the centre of the show alongside her sister Amy for six seasons, with 1000-lb Sisters originally premiering in 2020.
Tammy once weighed 725 lbs and has had her transformational weight loss documented on the show.

She now no longer needs a wheelchair to get around, and in recent scenes, she was shown to now weigh 303.8 lbs, something she called 'unbelievable'.
In a confessional shared with the camera crew, Tammy said: "Now that I've lost so much weight, I'm able to do things that I never would have been able to do.
"I think people do take the small things for granted. Being able to cross your legs and put your shoes on... I'm able to sit comfortably on the toilet, I've never been able to do that."

She went on to add: "The only problem is this excess skin is out of control."
A member of the camera crew then asked how much excess skin she has, and Tammy retorted: "Too damn much!"
She continued: 'I get rashes under my stomach and that can get infected. And even though my mobility has gotten better, I kind of have to walk a little bow-legged because it's dangling right there,' before pointing to a space between her legs.
Tammy's weight loss journey had its first success in 2022 when she'd lost enough weight to qualify for surgery, which she had in 2023.

Tammy's doctor, Dr. Smith, told People Magazine: "I was absolutely thrilled for Tammy and incredibly proud of her progress, but not surprised.
"Tammy has consistently demonstrated her dedication to making sustainable lifestyle changes to maximise the benefits of her surgery.
"I've emphasised the importance of making small, daily adjustments to ensure not only her continued progress but also her long-term success.

"She's truly committed to her health journey.”
With regards to Tammy's hope for skin removal surgery, he added: "Generally, we want patients to have achieved the majority of their weight loss and maintained a stable weight for 3-6 months before proceeding with skin removal.
"However, in Tammy’s case, she has a significant amount of loose skin that’s affecting her mobility and contributing to other health concerns.
"Given this, it makes sense to consider surgery sooner rather than later, even though she will continue to lose weight in the future.”
