1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has smashed her weight loss goals, and her doctor has shared how she managed to make the 'thrilling' transformation.
The 38-year-old who once weighed 725 lbs has made drastic lifestyle changes resulting in a satisfying transformation, which has all been documented in a US TV show with her sister Amy.
In the most recent episode, Tammy couldn't believe how much weight she had really lost, and appeared over the moon as her doctor revealed that she no longer needed a wheelchair to get around.

Dr. Smith has been the expert guiding her through her weight-loss journey, and has spoken out for the first time since having his client achieve her goal weight.
In a clip from the episode, Tammy reflected: "At my rock bottom, I was weighing about 725 lbs.
“The last time I saw Dr. Smith was about nine months ago and I was around 420 lbs.

"He told me I had to lose 100 lbs. before my next appointment.
"I’m extremely nervous.”
The scale read 303.8 lbs as she stepped onto it, which Smith remarked was just 'unbelievable'.

Talking to People Magazine, he shared his amazement and how proud he was of his patient.
The expert said: "I was absolutely thrilled for Tammy and incredibly proud of her progress, but not surprised.
"Tammy has consistently demonstrated her dedication to making sustainable lifestyle changes to maximise the benefits of her surgery.
"I've emphasised the importance of making small, daily adjustments to ensure not only her continued progress but also her long-term success.

"She's truly committed to her health journey.”
According to him, weight loss is all about setting daily habits rather than huge end goals - a process that feels more manageable.
Tammy is now hoping to qualify for skin removal treatment, which takes away any excess skin that is going to hinder her progress.

Dr Smith commented on this, and said: "Generally, we want patients to have achieved the majority of their weight loss and maintained a stable weight for 3-6 months before proceeding with skin removal."
He added: "However, in Tammy’s case, she has a significant amount of loose skin that’s affecting her mobility and contributing to other health concerns.
"Given this, it makes sense to consider surgery sooner rather than later, even though she will continue to lose weight in the future.”
The doctor says he only feels 'pure joy' when thinking about how far she has come, and the positive changes she will continue to make in the future.
