Things got a tad awkward at last night's National Television Awards as the cast of ITV's This Morning were booed by the award show's live audience.
The National Television Awards (NTA) is the biggest night for those in the telly biz, with Joel Dommett playing host this year to the O2 Arena for 'television's biggest night of the year' on Tuesday (5 September).
And this year was especially great for one long-time TV duo, Ant and Dec, as they walked away with the award for Best Presenters for the 22nd time in a row.

However, the same couldn't be said for the This Morning crew.
As Dommett introduced Holly Willoughby, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary to say hello, they were met with boos from the crowd that left them looking noticeably uncomfortable.
Holly smiled nervously at the camera, while Dermot awkwardly grabbed for his bag of sweets.
But, they weren't the only one who'd received a frosty reception as Piers Morgan was also booed by the crowd, who took it in his stride by laughing and shaking his head.

And, to add salt to the wound, This Morning lost the title of 'Best Daytime Show' for the first time in 12 years.
The show was beaten by BBC's The Repair Shop, with its host Jay Blades noting it was a 'rarity' for them to take home the prize.
And presenter Alison Hammond also went home empty handed, losing out to the Geordie duo.

But for viewers back home, the lack of awards wasn't that surprising, with many feeling that the recent scandal surrounding Phillip Schofield had affected the show's chances.
One viewer wrote: "Firstly @ThisMorning, are you okay? It must feel very strange with @TheRepairShop winning ‘Best Daytime’ at the @OfficialNTAs."
"There’s an irony about #thismorning losing to a show that fixes old-fashioned, broken & redundant items," another joked.

A third simply put: "Thank s**te This Morning didn't win."
Someone else added: "At least the #NTAs were entertaining, in a funny way. Some good winners who I were happy with and then some I was surprised by.
"Best part of the night for me was when This Morning didn't win."
And a final said: "This Morning lost the NTAs. I wonder why, though."

Eagle-eyed viewers also noticed that Schofield had unfollowed Willoughby on Instagram prior to the NTAs.
The Insta unfollow comes about months after Schofield resigned from the daytime show after admitting into a highly controversial 'unwise but not illegal' relationship with a younger male colleague who also worked on the daytime show.
However, Willoughby still currently follows her former co-presenter on Instagram following the ordeal.
