It looks as though Blake Lively's attempt at promoting her heartbreaking new movie has had a ripple affect throughout the entire entertainment industry.
As such, a recently-released blockbuster - directed by actor Zoë Kravitz - has been forced to include a trigger warning, so viewers know exactly what they're walking into when they buy a cinema ticket.

For those who've remained out of the loop when it comes to the latest Hollywood drama, Blake Lively's newest project It Ends With Us - an on-screen adaptation of Collen Hoover's novel of the same name - suffered a bittersweet response when it finally hit cinemas earlier this month after much anticipation.
Though the movie has been deemed a financial box office success, some of the promotional interviews given by the lead actor Blake have left a bad taste viewers' mouths.
Some thought the film was marketed as a swoon-worthy romance, despite a central theme of it being domestic abuse.
While text in the credits of It Ends With Us reads: "If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, help is available. Visit: www.nomore.org for information and support," it has been criticised for not providing a trigger warning prior to its release.

And the former Gossip Girl star faced backlash for failing to address the subject in its fullest in conversations with press, instead focussing heavily on her character's aesthetic.
"Bring your friends, wear your florals and head out to see it," Blake told fans of the book ahead of the movie being released.
And as we say, it seems as though the controversy surrounding Blake's new movie has had a knock-on effect across the industry, after Zoë Kravitz's blockbuster Blink Twice has added a trigger warning.

The film - which is being billed as a 'psychological thriller about the abuse of power' - marks the Batman actor's directorial debut, and stars her fiancé Channing Tatum.
Following the movie's UK release today (23 August), fans were quick to notice that an advertisement on social media included a warning to viewers who may want to avoid certain distressing scenes.
"We are proud to finally share Blink Twice with audiences in theatres worldwide this week," Amazon MGM Studios' announcement read.
"While this is a fictionalised movie, it contains mature themes and depictions of violence - including sexual violence.

"This may be upsetting or triggering for some viewers. For resources that offer support, visit BlinkTwiceResources.com."
And since the post was uploaded, hundreds of fans have heaped praise on producers for including the vital warning.
"This kind of notice should definitely become a standard for movies going forward," one noted.

Another went on: "Thank you for this message and I hope more movies would do this in the near future."
While a third commented: "I love that y’all made this announcement."
Tyla has contacted representatives for Blake Lively and Sony Pictures for comment.
