People are in awe of a newly wed after she revealed she made her own wedding cake just days before getting hitched.
Weddings seem stressful enough already with endless amounts to plan - I doubt many people would be brave enough to volunteer as tribute to make their own cake.
Although, when you realise just how expensive the celebratory day is, you'll probably be picking up the spatula yourself in no time.

TikToker Laura - who goes by @darlinggoose - started baking her wedding cake on 23 June, 2023, just 'two days' before she was set to walk down the aisle, but can her creation convince you to follow suit?
Using Betty Crocker 'Super moist rainbow bit' mixture, the DIY queen set about making the cakes in two different sizes - eight inches and 10 inches.

After letting them cool in the fridge for a while, the TikToker then began icing them at midnight, the night before her wedding.
Narrating the footage of her constructing the masterpiece, Laura says: "This is just me laughing at myself because I've never iced a cake in my life and I think it's looking pretty cute."
The cake is two-layered and the TikToker covers it in sprinkles before adding a sign on top which reads: "The Saxes."

Many people flooded to the post in awe of the cake and in praise of the money-saving idea.
One TikTok user said: "I love this!! Congratulations and to many years of wedded bliss!!"
"Thank god someone has some common sense and doesn’t pay 500 for a wedding cake. You’re beautiful let that shine not your cake !!!!" another wrote.
A third commented: "Guarantee it tastes 100 percent better than every dry, dense, fondant covered 'professional' wedding cake I’ve ever eaten."

And a fourth resolved: "I’m most excited for when you tell your kids and grandkids 'I baked my own wedding cake the night before my wedding!'”
However, unfortunately, it's impossible to avoid Karens online as some users got snobby.
"This has to be a joke," a user wrote.

A second commented: "U could’ve at least watched a youtube tutorial bruh."
"The colour on those sprinkles is gonna bleed into the icing over night. By the morning it’s going to be an even bigger mess," a third added.
But the TikToker hit back at criticism in another post which states: "You know what it never was? That serious. It was never that serious."
Saving thousands of pounds and eating a cake you already know is delicious? Laura's definitely the one laughing now.
