Psoriasis affects around two in 100 people in the UK and can start at any age. It is a skin condition that causes flaky patches of skin which form scales.

The NHS explain that on brown, black and white skin the patches can look pink or red, and the scales white or silvery. Meanwhile, on brown and black skin the patches can also look purple or dark brown, and the scales may look grey.
These patches normally appear on your elbows, knees, scalp and lower back, but can appear anywhere on your body. In some cases, the patches can be itchy or sore.
Discussing how she managed to clear her psoriasis - which covered over 90 per cent of her body - TikToker @itsrosieandharry explained she had been dreaming of the moment she was psoriasis-free for two years.

"I can finally say that I am psoriasis free," said Rosie.
"These last two years have been the hardest years of my entire life and as much as I try to spread positivity online I hid a hell of a lot away behind the camera.
"Having to wake up every day with constant pain and having to still try and put a smile on my face was so difficult, but now I'm growing, I'm the strongest person I ever have been and having psoriasis has taught me life lessons I would not know without."
Rosie went on to explain she believes the root cause of her psoriasis to be the birth control pill.

According to the NHS, People with psoriasis have an increased production of skin cells.
"Although the process is not fully understood, it's thought to be related to a problem with the immune system," they explain.
"Psoriasis can run in families, although the exact role genetics plays in causing psoriasis is unclear.
"Many people's psoriasis symptoms start or become worse because of a certain event, known as a trigger. Possible triggers of psoriasis include an injury to your skin, throat infections and using certain medicines."

Speaking directly to others who may be suffering, Rosie added: "If I can express any message to you if you're suffering with something similar, is to not give up.
"I'm literally the living proof that it will get better. There is a light at the end of that dark tunnel I promise you."
