People Are Just Realising Door Springs Have An 'Extra' Use

If you've got one of those spring door stops behind the doors in your home, you'll know they're there to protect your walls - and your paintwork - from being dented and scratched.

But did you know they can also be used for something else?

Yep, one TikToker took to the video sharing platform to reveal a second use for the door stops - and people are shocked they never realised it before.

People are in disbelief over the trick, with many wondering how they never realised the spring had an 'extra use'.

One person wrote: "How am I learning this today 🥺."

While another said: "What? I’ve never thought of this 🤯."

And a third added: "I've learned more from TikTok than any school that I've been to."

Meanwhile a fourth commented: "Well, I was today years old."

And a fifth theorised: "Bruh that’s why it’s called a door stopper and not a wall protector 🥲🥲🥲."

Others pointed out that their door springs aren't so pliable, however, while others said the gap between the bottom of the door and the floor isn't big enough in their homes.

"You guys can fit your whole foot under your door?" One asked.

"I mean I have one but it’s a hard one and not bendy like that whatsoever 🤷‍♂️I’ll just break the baseboard if I did that," said another.

Others pointed out that they used to play with the springs when they were younger, with one adding: "I swear I don't see these no more. Use to be so entertaining messing with it was I was bored as a kid."

And another said: "I use to just play with this while I was in punishment as a kid. Thank you for the new info."
