Shoppers say they’ve found a budget candle that ‘smells very expensive’ and it’s so good, people have ‘lost count’ of how many times they’ve purchased it.

With hundreds of glowing reviews, the candle is one of the brand’s bestselling products. So, why do people love it so much?

One five-star review sums it up. “Clean and sophisticated, this is a candle I got because everyone said it was the best and I understand why,” the customer wrote. “It’s a crowd-pleaser. It’s pretty, it burns well, and it’s affordable - everything a candle ought to be. Would repurchase.”

Many have even suggested that the brand launches a perfume in the same scent because they like it so much. One customer wrote: “Flawless. No criticism. My dad bought my mum her favourite perfume every Christmas for over 30 years. I want that with this. Please make it a perfume. I burn it every day and the scent lingers. It feels like eating cheesecake in a hot bath while listening to Sade. So comforting.”

A third added, “What a beautifully clean scent! If this was a perfume, I would have bought it! It smells very crisp, clean, elegant and expensive. Imagine Egyptian cotton wrapped in lavender, freesia, and musk. Absolutely gorgeous. Please produce a spray of sorts!”

What is the candle everyone is talking about?

The candle in question is Clean House by Beauty Pie. The product description describes the scent as ‘lavender, freesia, and magnolia flowers bundled in fresh white cotton sheets’ with an impressive burn time of 60 hours.

The beauty giant's popular candle is handcrafted in none other than the ‘perfume capital’ of Grasse, France in some of the world’s most renowned labs - which explains why it has been widely described as 'luxurious' by customers.

How to make your candle last for a long time

It’s widely recommended that you trim the wick on your candle, no longer than 5mm, before lighting. By shortening the wick, you allow the candle to burn more slowly and evenly, which in turn will reduce the risk of smoke marks on the edge of the glass.

After blowing out the candle and once the wax has cooled, realign and straighten the wick to ensure an even burn every time.

Where to buy the popular candle

The Clean House candle is currently on sale on the Beauty Pie website. You must be a member to access the deal, as it traditionally retails at £34.

It’s not the only candle that’s received rave reviews either. The Bahia De Miel candle has also gone down a treat with one customer saying it smells like ‘an expensive French hotel and an attractive man’. What more could you ask for?
