Dunelm has launched its first ever discounted outlet store in the UK, with up to 70 percent off on some items.
Whether we’re after a new sofa or a fresh set of curtains to jazz up the living room, many of us are absolutely OBSESSED with Dunelm, which bills itself as the ‘UK’s leading home furnishing retailer’.
The company started life more than 30 years ago on a market stall in Leicester, when Bill and Jean Adderley started a home textiles business offering a wide range of products at affordable prices.

These days, the chain has more than 160 stores across the UK to its name, along with an online store – yes, which we’re all often glued to.
And now Dunelm is branching out with its very first outlet store, which will no doubt come as music to the ears of shoppers in search of a good bargain.
The new outlet is located inside the Dunelm store in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, where shoppers can browse the special 4,000 sq ft space dedicated entirely to bargains.

Lyndsey Miles, head of business development at Dunelm said: “We’re delighted to announce the grand opening of our very first outlet section at our Rochdale Dunelm store.
“This has been a work in progress for a while now and we’re so excited to share these amazing discounts with local customers.
“In the new section, customers will be able to find a fantastic bargain, all while helping us ensure that every item of furniture, even if it’s a little less than perfect, finds a good home.”

The new area, which has been converted from an existing space within the store, houses everything from mattresses and couches to garden sets, with a post on the Dunelm Rochdale community support Facebook group saying: “Bargain Alert... We have summer furniture at the back of the store with some great reductions for our store only, first come first served, we cannot hold these items, we have several of them so head down to store right now for a great bargain.”
The new outlet lines at the store include ex-display Dunelm stock and customer returns, with shoppers able to pick up pieces boasting huge discounts between 30 percent and 70 percent.
Another Facebook post from a couple of weeks ago adds: "Need a new mattress, we have several at knock down prices starting at £63.50, don't delay grab your bargain today."
