Many of us pride ourselves on keeping large parts of our home nice and tidy - chores such as running the hoover around and washing up come as second nature.
But there are some parts of the house a lot of us do not pay as much attention to when it comes to cleaning.
Often, these are the areas of the home you can't see - out of sight, out of mind mentality, really.

But after seeing this video on TikTok, we think a lot of people may be cleaning their sinks after seeing this cleaning hack.
In a video uploaded by the Cultro (@cultrostore) TikTok account, a cleaning hack for the sink is shown with the appropriate 'House Work' by Jax Jones played over the top. Watch it below:
It involves puling the sink strainer or plug out of the sink and then using that to carefully unscrew the sink hole to reveal what is underneath.

Turns out the underneath is quite disgusting, really.
There is a nice heap of waste that is certainly not great on the eye, likely been built up by all the food, drink and sauces that have ended up getting stuck in there.
In the following clip, the cleaning wiz shows the sink completely rid of the waste, with it looking shiny and new.
Many people have taken to the comments section of the TikTok, in a video that has over 1.4 million views on the social media platform.

A lot of people are actually regretting watching the short nine-second clip, which has left them too scared to look at their own sink.
One person said: "that's something I didn't need to know."
A second added: "man First time I ever took mine off after watching this 🥺, was filthy."

But a third hadn't had the courage to remove theirs just yet, writing: "Does every stainless steel sink have this, I’m scared to look now."
Cultro - the content creator - replied to this comment describing how bad the smell was.
They said: "I believe so. The smell was horrendous when I first took it out, but it's as clean as a whistle now!"

Cultro is rather active on TikTok, posting cooking tips and the latest kitchen gadgets to the account.
But they do upload hack videos like the sink one, with a most recent one on the channel looking at a kettle hack.
