A pair of new homeowners were left entirely creeped out after discovering a hidden room with some questionable contents behind a wall of their property.
Moving into a new home is usually an exciting - if stressful - occasion, and not one you want to be spoiled with terrifying discoveries.

Unfortunately, husband and wife Steven, 54, and Carolyn Sparks, 42, were unable to avoid getting a little freaked out after they conducted a contractor survey at the property they'd just bought in Brighton.
The couple planned to refurbish the property and needed detailed plans to do so, but during the survey Steven and the architect discovered a door in one of the toilets.
Carolyn explained: "We discovered there was a basement to the building after we'd purchased the property. It wasn't on the agents' details, and nor did we see it when we viewed the property.
"It's easily missed as it's accessed via a little WC, so not really a room you'd go into and look at in great detail."

The room formed part of the original Victorian house and had been intend to store coal, with an access hole visible outside the home.
It soon became clear, however, that this room was home to a lot more than coal.
Steven and Carolyn grabbed some torches and went to explore with the surveyor, only to be left unnerved when they came across a white iron bed frame tucked into one part of the room.

"That's scary, that bed," they can be heard saying in the video.
"I thought it'd be funny to film as all we could see was cobwebs and said it would feel spooky," Carolyn said.
"We didn't expect to find a single iron bed, so it was definitely a little bit freaky! That situation alone, never mind finding a child's bed down there just added to the weird situation."

As well as the bed, the homeowners discovered old disused boxes stacked high in one corner.
The new owners were naturally intrigued, so asked the tenant who had been living in the home if she knew anything about it.
Thankfully, there was a good explanation. The tenant explained that her daughter had used the room to film a horror movie for a college assignment, but due to her health, and the fact she hates spiders, the tenant never got around to moving the bed back out of the room.
It's definitely a more reassuring explanation than some unsolved mystery, though that doesn't necessarily make the room any less creepy.
