Aldi shoppers go wild for ‘delicious’ new chocolate orange Baileys dupe

Aldi shoppers go wild for ‘delicious’ new chocolate orange Baileys dupe

It sounds PERFECT for those cold, autumn evenings drawing in

Many people have claimed to prefer Aldi’s now-famous Ballycastle drink to the well-known Irish cream liqueur we all know and love – and not necessarily just because of the tempting price tag, although that undoubtedly helps.

Now the budget supermarket has launched a brand new flavour of the product, which sounds PERFECT for cosy nights over the next few months, now that we’ve officially waved summer off.

Posting about the new drink on Facebook, Aldi said: “Calling all chocolate & orange lovers: your new favourite drink just landed in store! Will you be trying it?”

Many admitted they’d not just tried the ‘delicious’ drink, but were already a fair way through their bottle.

“Got mine already! Love the chocolate and orange mix!” one commented, with another adding: “This is lush, polished off a bottle this week!”

A third wrote: “It is gorgeous!!”

One person said it had come ‘just in time for the cold nights’ to add a drop to her ‘nighttime cocoa’, while someone else said they’d be using it to make a cheesecake – an inspired move!

Available in stores for £7.49 for a 700ml bottle, the Ballycastle Milk Chocolate Clementine Country Cream sees ‘smooth, creamy milk chocolate infused with bright, zesty clementine’, providing a deliciously boozy take on the Terry’s Chocolate Orange.

“Make autumn un-bally-lievably delicious with the launch of Aldi’s NEW Ballycastle Milk Chocolate Clementine Country Cream,” Aldi said, adding that the drink is in stores now.

And that’s not all, as the supermarket also has three other ‘irresistible’ flavours joining the chocolate orange product on shelves this autumn:

  • Ballycastle Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter (£7.49, 70cl) - “This fan-favourite is making its return, because everything is better with peanut butter.”
  • Ballycastle White Chocolate (£7.49, 70cl) -A classic indulgence for the white chocolate lovers.”
  • Ballycastle Country Cream (£5.79, 70cl) - “The smooth, original flavour that started it all.”

And if it’s not too early for Baileys, surely it’s not too early for mince pies? Aldi launched its first of the season in store yesterday (Sunday 22 September), meaning you can grab the Holly Lane Deep Filled Mince Pies (£1.39, 6 pack), Holly Lane Iced Mince Pies (£1.59, 6 pack) or the Specially Selected All Butter Mince Pies (£2.29, 6 pack) from shops now.
