We all know that Gordon Ramsay isn’t afraid to show his true feelings, having famously spat out many a morsel on his long-running Kitchen Nightmares show.
But there’s one recent meal that the chef wasn’t even prepared to try and eat, having told a server that it looked downright ‘dangerous’.
For the new season of the restaurant makeover show, Ramsay has headed to New Orleans, Louisiana, to help a number of places up their game ahead of the Super Bowl next month.

In a preview clip for Kitchen Nightmares: Road to Super Bowl LIX , the outspoken celebrity chef can be seen seated as a waitress brings him a number of dishes to try.
“These are the Cajun fries,” she begins as she places a plate onto the table.
“And this is a raw oyster, and then I have the rest of the different oysters coming out for you.”

She tells him that the oysters are ‘local’, but Ramsay is dubious.
“It doesn’t look very fresh,” he says as he wipes his finger on the edge of the shell to reveal a gooey, black residue.
The server explains that they got the oysters ‘two days ago’, but that they hadn’t been cleaned very well.
But it’s not just the lack of cleaning that dad-of-six Ramsay is worried about, as he outright refuses to even try them.

He continues: “I mean, oysters are dangerous enough but honestly I just recently had my sixth kid, Jesse James.
“I’d love to be around to celebrate his 1st birthday so I’ll pass on that one.”
Rubbing the shell again, Ramsay adds: “It’s just got clay and s**t.”

The member of staff takes the plate away while Ramsay cleans his hands with a napkin.
“God bless you, Jesse,” he says to himself.
“Fingers crossed I’m coming home, kid.”

Needless to say, when the server takes the oysters back to the kitchen, she’s livid.
“How the f**k do y’all serve Gordon Ramsay a dirty oyster?” she fumes.
“It’s not even shucked! Like, how the f**k do you serve him that?”
The first half of the new season is set in New Orleans, with the hope that the city’s restaurateurs can benefit from Ramsay’s kitchen know-how before welcoming the crowds for the NFL Super Bowl on 9 February.
It will also see ‘past and present NFL stars’ pop up in different episodes, before Ramsay heads to Austin and Houston to help Texas-based businesses for the second part of the series.
