A mum was left traumatised after she found a friend breastfeeding her baby without her consent, saying she will forever be ‘haunted’ by the incident.
Parenting can be tough at the best of times, but when friends start sticking their noses in things, it can become even harder - even if they’ve only got the best intentions.
Whether it’s subtle judgement about your toddler’s bedtime or a mini lecture about your six-year-old's salt intake, it can become grating very quickly.

But one mum in Malaysia had the fright of her life when she realised what her pal was doing to supposedly help out, claiming she came into the room to find her breastfeeding her baby.
TikTok user @afieqahhasanah took to the platform last week to share her story.
According to a translation of the video by Asia One, the mum left her infant - called Haider - in the care of a friend while she prepared for a gathering.
“At the time, I was busy carrying things, and when I arrived, she asked me for Haider, so I just gave him [to her] because she was someone close to me. I didn’t expect that she could do such a thing,” she explained.

“But suddenly while I was carrying those things, I saw that she was, like, doing something at the back in an open hall. Turns out, she was breastfeeding Haider.”
When @afieqahhasanah - who has more than 522,000 followers - confronted her friend, the excuse that came back was that Haider had been crying.
However, she felt dubious, as she’d just breastfed her son herself.

The woman continued: “So I couldn’t accept her excuse and I don’t know … I’ll be haunted by this incident.
“Which mother can accept her baby being directly breastfed by someone else while the mother herself has breastmilk?”
Incredibly, it happened again.

“She was caught not once, but twice. I caught her breastfeeding my baby during the first time,” the TikTok user said.
“The second time, it was my mother [who caught her]. Now, I’m having a tough time shaking it off my mind.
“It’s difficult for me to trust other people now. I’m very disheartened. I take good care of my children, ensuring that nobody randomly kisses or hugs them because I’m afraid of them getting infected by diseases.”
Naturally, many TikTokers empathised with her situation, saying it sounded like a truly ‘frustrating’ experience.

Someone else said: “How can one even do that without thinking!? It’s so frustrating to hear this.”
