Bride ‘crushed with guilt’ after admitting to having affair with man she met on her own hen do

Bride ‘crushed with guilt’ after admitting to having affair with man she met on her own hen do

People said it was the kind of story that made them 'never want to get married'

A wedding is usually the happiest event of the year, the one in your diary that you always look forward to.

It often includes good food, friends, family and a chance to dance the night away.

Hen dos, for the most part, are no different to this, being a lovely chance to catch up with your closest friends and family before your big day.

Most refer to the event as ‘the last night of freedom', however, it is no secret that many people take this saying a little too literally.

Hen dos are often full to the brim with sexual related games, quizzes, props and strippers.

For most people, it’s a night of fun and laughter but for the odd exception like the bride to be in this story... they take it too far.

A woman made her shocking hen do confession on the Everybody has a Secret podcast, which is no stranger to stories about major wedding dilemmas and dramas.

Many people were left scarred after the bride admitted to meeting a man on her hen do and having a secret long-term relationship with him, with one writing: “This my friends is why I remain single."

Another commented: “This is the kind of story that makes me never want to get married.”

The woman submitted her story to the podcast to explain how her 'soul feels crushed with guilt', beginning: “I already know that I’m a terrible person so please don’t be mean.”

She got married to her husband Alex last year, but had ended up meeting a guy named Finn on her hen do - a man who would become her secret lover.

The woman claimed that it started off as harmless fun and ‘nothing happened.’

However, viewers were quick to disagree that ‘nothing happened’ as she revealed that the first night they met, he ‘randomly’ bought her a AUD $15,000 bottle of champagne.

The podcast hosts read: “The love bombing started out innocent and I entertained it.”

The woman then admitted that she loved the attention and the feeling of being desired despite it not being by her future husband.

She said: “In the six months that followed he bought me expensive jewellery and wanted to fly me out on vacation.”

Because the woman did not attend the trips, she said she didn't think she was doing anything wrong, stressing: “I was just accepting gifts.”

The man in question here, who quickly became a 'sugar daddy' to the woman, also had a wife and kids, which all parties were fully conscious of.

This is where the story takes a turn and becomes a lot less innocent.

The woman continued: “Finn said he wanted to give me babies.

“And after a long time of talking we hooked up, all the way.”

What Finn and the bride believed to be an innocent and platonic relationship was now a heartbreaking affair playing out in full force.

Despite admitting to wanting to live a secret life, the woman in question told the podcast: "I've never been this type of person to cheat or dream of it or anything.”

She claimed she was enchanted by this guy, despite calling him a textbook narcissist.

After one-and-a-half years, the relationship ended, but during the podcast the woman confessed that she ‘truly loved him’, and she feels ‘trauma bonded’ to the guy.

She ended her confession on the podcast by saying: “This secret is slowly killing me, and I think I am in denial.

“My soul feels crushed with guilt and I can’t continue on.”

It’s safe to say viewers were not happy, with many calling on the woman to tell her husband the truth.

"People this low down and awful truly break my heart," one fumed.

"Their partners deserve so much better than the trash these two are acting like.”
