A 24-hour hospice patient who married her ‘soulmate’ husband last year has revealed her wedding vows.
Amy-Claire Lanman, 29, successfully tied the knot with her spouse Lyle in 2023, despite being warned she would never make it to adulthood.
The Swansea-based woman has been receiving palliative and hospice care since she was 10 after being initially misdiagnosed with cerebral palsy, MailOnline reports.

Unfortunately, at just 15-years-old, she began to experience spasms and her parents were reportedly told she could die at any time.
However, the social media star, who goes by her online moniker @the_incurable_optimist, has successfully defied the odds and is now happily married at 29-years-old.
Earlier this month, Amy-Claire marked her and Lyle’s first wedding anniversary with a sweet social media post.

Taking to TikTok, the Welsh native wrote: “One year of keeping our vows my love; here’s to many more days, weeks, months, and years of defying the odds and adventures full of love.”
She shared a 12-image carousel on the platform alongside the sentiment which featured the couple’s original pledge.
“My wedding vows as a hospice patient,” she wrote over a black-and-white image of herself and Lyle on their special day.
“And as much as I wish I could, I cannot promise you that we will have a long life together; I can’t promise you grey hair and grandchildren and a retirement cottage by the sea.

“But here’s what I can promise you,” the post continued.
“I promise that you’ll never be bored. I promise that you’ll never be lonely.
“I promise to share every one of life’s ups and downs with you. I promise that you’ll always be my favourite person. I promise that we’ll laugh together, every single day.”

Amy-Claire continued to write over a photograph of the pair playing video games: “I promise that I will continue to love you more and more, with every breath I take and every beat of my heart.
“And I promise that no matter how much time we get together, we are going to have a happy life full of adventures.”
In a follow-up photo, the woman revealed the couple had kept their commitments for 365 days.
“Here’s to many more days, weeks, months, and years of defying the odds and adventures full of love,” she concluded.

After viewing the post, TikTok users headed to the comments section to wish the couple well.
One viewer wrote: “This legitimately made me cry! I live with stage 4 ckd and whilst hopefully not a terminal diagnosis it is something I worry about. Thank you for inspiring me to live life!”
A second said: “Not me crying!!!! AMY CLAIRE YOU’VE MADE ME CRY AGAIN.”
“Beautiful post to your husband,” commented another.
A fourth typed: “This is so beautiful! Happy anniversary both.”
Amy has previously appeared on BBC One Wales to discuss her condition, which is reportedly so rare that it doesn’t even have a name.
Speaking to the broadcaster at the time, she said: “I don't ever remember not being ill.
“My friends were growing up, dating and doing all sorts of cool stuff while I was going to a children's hospice... We prepared for the end.”
She added that her illness has given her a ‘pretty unique view on life’ and that her ‘world is full of love’.
