A private investigator has revealed why different generations tend to cheat on their partners, as well as revealing the 'dangers' of the job.
It would be easy to believe that all partners of any age cheat for one reason only, that being sex. But the intricacies of relationships and ties mean that different generations cheat on their partner for different reasons.
And a private investigator has explained the most common reasons he found that people are unfaithful, depending on their 'season of life'.

In a Reddit post explaining his job, he encouraged people to ask questions about his work and what it entails.
He wrote: "I’m a dedicated Private Investigator (PI), having undergone specialised training with the FBI. I’ve dealt with a diverse range of cases, from exposing unfaithful partners to assisting families in resolving complicated matters related to wills and inheritances."
He added: "Don’t hesitate to ask me anything! I’m here to provide insights and share experiences that may surprise you."

When one user asked who is more unfaithful, men or women, the investigator revealed that he gets asked that 'a lot'.
He explained: "I would say depends on what season of life there in. I know that’s not a direct answer but I would say young men over women in their 20s-30s."
The detective then went onto talk about the older generation, and the more complex reasons why they are likely to cheat.

He added: "It’s split down the middle the older the demographic. Older women cheat for emotional support, financial support or unfortunately running away from abuse.
"Older men cheat because they feel mistreated and unloved."
But these weren't the only secrets the investigator uncovered.
One user curiously asked: "How often do husbands ask you to follow their cheating wives to get proof for divorce?" to which he responded: "More often than not but women more so when kids are involved, and custody is an issue."

The investigator also revealed the 'craziest' thing a cheating partner had done, upon being found out.
He said: "Physically assault the one who set the investigation in motion then another individual admitted to having another whole ass family."
Despite sounding like an exciting secretive role, the PI opened up about the 'dangers' of his job, admitting he has felt scared 'too many times to count'.

But he also said that having social media has meant he does less 'foot work', as it makes the role slightly safer.
