Woman gets note telling her to ‘run’ half way through date with man

Woman gets note telling her to ‘run’ half way through date with man

Talk about a red flag...

When you go on a first date, there are few red flags to look out for that could be a sign your potential partner is bad news.

They're late but don't have the respect to let you know. They talk the whole time and don't let you get a word in. They're rude to the waiter or bar staff. They're constantly checking their phone and aren't present in the conversation.

But no red flag have ever been quite as obvious as the note one woman received halfway through a date telling her to 'run'.

X (formerly Twitter) user Hadia shared her strange encounter on the social app.

Hadia went on a first date to a local coffee shop. When her date went to the restroom, a stranger who'd overheard them talking passed her a note offering some advice.

She wrote on X: "I had coffee with a guy yesterday. When he went to the bathroom, the gay guy sitting behind me passed me this note."

She also included a photograph of a warning message written on the back of a CVS receipt reading: "Too many red flags. Run. Be safe girl."

After the post went viral, receiving more than 385,000 likes and 40,000 shares, Hadia shared more information about her date in a follow-up post.

She explained that while she'd noticed some blatant red flags herself, she didn't feel like she was in any danger.

So, she chose to stay and continued talking to him, mainly to discuss their differing views on various topics such as controversial rapper Da Baby.

"I recognized the red flags," Hadia wrote. "But I wasn't in danger, so I stayed because of course, I had to debate him.

"I'm sure my guardian angel was exhausted and was like B**** LEAVE!" she joked, before saying that the note was 'greatly appreciated' and clarifying that there definitely would not be a second date.

Other X users took to the comments below Hadia's posts to share their views on her 'guardian angel'.

One wrote: "I can't help but wonder how bright red those flags were for a complete stranger notice AND write a warning note. Big yikes."

Another said: "I’m not saying believe him sis but.....BELIEVE HIM SIS!"

And a third joked: "He gave up a CVS receipt to save you. Not only did he risk his personal business exposed, he gave up thousands in coupons. Heed his words."
