Where you can see the Solstice Strawberry Moon in the UK this evening

The Full Moon in Capricorn will be visible tonight

Those invested in the beauty and intricacy of astrology are in for a real treat tonight, as this evening (21 June) marks the arrival of a brand-new moon in Capricorn, otherwise known as the Strawberry Moon.

Also referred to as the 'pink moon', it will be visible all over the world tonight, but it is predicted to appear extra magnificent to those looking out for it in the UK.

In case you need to brush up on your Full Moon knowledge - there's no judgement here. Allow us to catch you up...

Why is it called the Strawberry Moon?

The phenomenon got its delicious-sounding name from its roots among Native Americans, who named it due to it coinciding strawberries ripening.

This truly special event marks the final full moon of the spring season, and the first of summer, with the Strawberry Moon marking the significance of necessary change.

Many intrigued by the divinatory practice of delving deep into the apparent positions of celestial objects believe that the forces of the moon's cycle can hugely emphasis how we're feeling, and how we respond to things that happen in our lives.

What can the zodiac signs expect from the Strawberry Moon?

Now, while every single zodiac sign will be affected by this week's full Strawberry Moon, Brits were issued a warning to be extra careful earlier this week, as it’s claimed this week’s full moon will 'bring chaos' for certain signs, while others will prove much more prosperous.

Rose Smith, who runs Absolute Soul Secrets, is the largest psychic network based in the Southern Hemisphere, and she has shed a little light on what we can expect to look forward to - or dread - with this week's Strawberry Moon in Capricorn.

Warning that 'chaos will come calling', Ms Smith explained to MailOnline: "People will feel out of sorts and frustrated as hard-working, diligent and responsible Capricorn wants us to be responsible and get work done – but the winter solstice is calling us to rest and reflect."

If you're an Aries baby, however, this Strawberry Moon should allegedly urge you to reassess your priorities and goals in life, and take another look at what you believe to be the most important things in life.

If you're born between 22 June and 22 July, however - making you a Cancer baby - this month's full moon in Capricorn should see you focus your attention to your personal relationships - specifically your romantic connections.

And when it comes to the Capricorn babies, this Full Moon recommends you recognise the importance of creating a nurturing home environment.

You know that huge spring clean you've been putting off for weeks? Get it done! You'll find your mindset becomes much clearer in the meantime.

How do you see the Strawberry Moon?

So, by now you're probably wondering where you can feast your eyes on this celestial wonder.

Though the Full Moon will be visible from tonight, it will be at its clearest for UK-based astrologers on Saturday night, at 11.05pm, the BBC says.

The Scottish capital of Edinburgh will be the best place to take a peak due to its incredible level of visibility and minimal cloud cover.

Geordies will also be getting lucky tomorrow night, with Newcastle offering similarly clear conditions.

And just to make this weekend's event even more special, the fact that this year's Strawberry Moon falls the day after a summer solstice means we'll also see a 'moon illusion', in which it'll appear much larger than usual!
