One woman has called for the legal age of consent for tattoos to be changed after opening up about her 'biggest regret'.
The Aussie psychology student, who goes by the handle @clandestine_dncr online, took to TikTok to share with her 37k followers a little more about her experiences getting inked up as a teenager.
She revealed she first started her tattoo journey aged 19 and while she once loved them, she now finds them absolutely 'horrible'. Have a look:
She began by explaining to viewers: "For anyone that's gotten tattooed and they're like, 'Oh, if I stopped loving it, I'll just get it removed' needs a rude wake up call.

"Because when I was 19 I stupidly started getting tattooed every time I had a mood swing."
The woman then 'ended up getting really heavily tattooed really quickly', adding: "It was just such a coping mechanism for me whenever I had a depressive thought or feeling I was like, 'I'll get a tattoo!'
"And at the time, I loved them."

However, fast-forward 10 years later and the woman 'absolutely hates' the tattoos.
"I love them on other people, I think they're beautiful," she continued. "On myself, they made me physically recoil.
"They are by far my biggest regret."
She revealed she was 'one of those ignorant people' that thought she could just easily get the ink removed if she stopped liking them.

"No, it's not that simple!" the woman exclaimed. "I've now been getting these things removed for the last eight years!
"Eight years of my life, 12 to 20 sessions per tattoo."
And its not just the time, as pain is clearly a massive factor too.

The TikToker admitted: "It feels like you're being burned by a blowtorch," before noting the process was 'so damn expensive'.
She finished up the video explaining: "I'm such an advocate for the legal age of being tattooed to go up to 21 because I do not know what I was thinking.
"I got my knuckles tattooed. I got my neck tattooed."

"Look at this," she said while showing a faded tattoo across her knuckles. "Like, no, I've been getting these removed for the last three years."
She then showed the equally faded outlines on her thigh, adding: "This? Three years.
"I just want clean skin. It's all that I want, please."
The woman captioned the TikTok: "Should have listened to mum."
Well, that's definitely made me think twice about a trip to the tattoo parlour.
