Woman who received brutal text after getting first Brazilian wax has important message for anyone who has a ‘FUPA’

Sarah was stunned after receiving the text from the beautician after her wax

A woman has spoken out after she received a brutal text from a beautician who said she'd be charging her more for future waxes due to the 'size of her pubic area'.

Yes, you absolutely read that right.

Sarah Button has had quite the week after the experience she had doing her first ever bikini wax.

For those not in the know, a bikini wax is a beauty procedure that sees the beautician wax nearly to all of your pubic hair off. It's a very intimate procedure and if you've never had it done before, you're bound to be nervous.

The waxer obviously has to get all up close and personal in your intimate bits, so having someone who is understanding, and as gentle as waxing can allow, is key to a good experience.

Unluckily for Sarah, her pain didn't come from the wax but from a brutal message she received afterwards.

"Just in [the] future, I’ll have to charge you a little more for the size of the area," the waxer wrote. "I hope that makes sense, nothing crazy, like $5 or $10 extra."

Can you imagine?!

Screenshots showed at first that Sarah was ok, responding to the exchange with a polite 'no worries', but it's evident that this in fact is not the case.

Speaking to Tyla, Sarah said: "The whole appointment was super chill. I can usually sense when something is wrong and I didn’t have an inkling now I’m questioning myself even more."

When asked whether she's spoken to the waxer since, she said: "We had a phone call because I told my little sister and my sister ripped her a new one so she did call me to ask when I’d like to book again and that it was a misunderstanding. Like as if it’s a misunderstanding though? I said no and hung up."

After her experience, Sarah, from Australia, has now shared an important message for anyone who has a 'FUPA', and if you don't know what that is, it's simply an abbreviation for 'Fat Upper Pubic Area.'

Again, speaking with Tyla she said: "The message I give is that there are really so many people with similar body types out there, we just don’t see them as often because there’s this cycle of not seeing a similar body type and then thinking you’re ’different’ or ‘deformed’ or something and then that perpetuates hiding which in turn causes less people to be aware that it’s a common body type and so in.

"Like, nowhere in any mainstream media has I ever seen a fatter pubic area and that did make me think I was the only one with a fupa, I never spoke about it."

She went on: "I think just knowing and being confident is really a domino effect in so many ways, I’ve gotten hundreds of messages from women thanking me or relating to me or just expressing their frustrations about their bodies and it really made me SO aware that it’s important to feel happy within ourselves.

"Speaking about it is so important too, you would be surprised how many people in your family have the same body type and are- you guessed it- hiding!

"Turns out both my mum AND sister have a fupa, it’s often genetic or hormonal. My point is your body isn’t offensive and you don’t need to get surgery or fix anything because there’s nothing TO fix. There are girls out there getting fat transfers TO the area, like they’re paying money to get what we have, feel blessed.

"As the saying goes, 'good pumpum deserve shelter' and 'the bigger the fupa the tastier the chalupa'.

I think that says it all, don't you.
