It's no secret that following a vegan diet can be challenging, which could be why an estimated 84 percent of vegans and vegetarians eventually quit the lifestyle choice.
And one of these people is Mimi Graff, from Stockholm, Sweden, who claims that veganism made her so sick that she feared she wouldn't make it to the age of 20.
Mimi, who was a vegan for several years as a teen, now follows a raw meat diet and she claims that she's never felt better.

The young woman, who is now in her early 20s, feasts on things like raw beef, chicken, and pork - as well as raw organs including liver and kidneys.
She said: "When I was 17, I weighed 39 kg, had autoimmune conditions and didn't see myself making it to 20.
"Since I started eating raw meats, I am in spectacular shape, have perfect health, and get better and better every day and in every way. After several years of veganism, I was all but incapacitated.

"In my disoriented state, an impulse took over me one day and propelled me to the fishmonger next door where I purchased the largest salmon they had.
"When I got back home, I sat on my dining room table and scooped at the fish with my hands like a bear until only the skeleton remained.
"Immediately, the sensation of a warm ball of energy started in my stomach and shot through my body and I was in complete euphoria. It felt like my brain was switched on and my body was revived."
While a lot of people go vegan because of animal welfare concerns, Mimi said that she's felt 'no guilt' since returning to eating meat.

"I felt no guilt and never again considered the lives of animals," she said.
"I always listen to what my body craves. I believe both cooked and raw meat are necessary for optimal health, but the feeling of raw meat is unbeatable."
Since that fateful salmon, Mimi has been 'chasing' the feeling of satisfaction that gave her and said she experiments when possible with her raw meat diet.

However, Mimi admits that she does try and reign in how she eats her raw meat when she's in public.
"My goal is to try a raw meat dish from every culture and of every animal," the ex-vegan revealed.
"I’m always delighted at what I manage to get away with when eating raw meat in public. However, I have found that it all comes down to presentation.

"It's so fun to rip the raw flesh with my hands and teeth, but I reserve that for when I'm alone.
"My etiquette has never left me. Raw meat is for feminine and sophisticated girls too, we're not all menacing bodybuilders or stinky hippies."
While Mimi does prefer to eat raw, when this isn't an option she said that she will accept 'a lightly seared steak'.
She added that since she adopted her new diet, she has had an 'amazing' 'physical metamorphosis', but 'proper nutrition has transformed my mentality even more'.
