All the celebs who have spoken out after their houses were destroyed in LA fires

Several celebrities across LA have spoken out about their houses being devastated as a result of the ongoing wildfires.

10 people have confirmed to have been killed in the disaster, with more than 10,000 buildings also being destroyed in the flames, the BBC reports, as five fires continue to blaze throughout various parts of the county from 7 January.

According LA County Sheriff, Robert Luna, over 170,000 residents are under evacuation orders, while a further 200,000 have received warnings, Sky News says.

Earlier today, Los Angeles Police Department arrested a man on suspicion of arson after allegedly been spotted attempting to start a fire, which is currently 'being investigated as a crime'.

LA is home to some of the most famous of faces, and a number of celebrities have found themselves affected by the wildfires, with many having lost their homes or having to evacuate the area with their families.

As a result, many A-listers have taken to social media to speak about losing their homes due to the ongoing disaster.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton confirmed on her social media accounts that she had watched her Malibu home burn to the 'ground' on TV.

She reassured her fans by letting them know that she and her family were 'safe', but noted that the pain of losing her house is 'unimaginable'.

The star said: "To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets.

"My heartaches for those still in harm’s way or mourning greater losses. The devastation is unimaginable."

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag

41-year-old Pratt shared footage of the Los Angeles Fire Department officials attempting to control the raging Pacific Palisades fire from across the mountains, but unfortunately the couple lost their property.

Speaking on Instagram, he added: "Just spoke to my dad - he tried to save my brother's house but the wind is so strong there was nothing he could do.

"Even the fire station in the Palisades has burned down. The Pacific Palisades is completely on fire. No one is there."

Billy Crystal

Billy, 76, and his wife Janice, have confirmed the loss of their Los Angeles house - which they lived in since 1979.

In a statement, the actor said: "We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love.

"Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away.

"We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this."

Ricki Lake

Hairspray star Ricki Lake noted that everything had 'gone' following the fire ripping through her family home, adding: "It was our heaven on earth. The place where we planned to grow old together.

“We never took our heavenly spot on the bluff overlooking our beloved Malibu for granted, not even for one second. I shared our sunset views almost daily with all of you."

James Woods

The Oscar-award winning actor, 77, also explained that he had lost 'everything at once'.

In an interview with CNN, he broke down in tears, adding: "I’m sorry, I thought I was stronger than this."

He continued: "There was so much chaos. It was like an inferno. Every house was on fire around us.

"One day you're swimming in the pool and the next day it's all gone."

Diane Warren

The 68-year-old announced her sad news on Instagram, saying: "I've had this house for almost 30 years. It looks like it was lost in the fire last nite.

"There's a rainbow shining on it which I'm taking as a sign of hope for all creatures who have been affected by this tragedy."

She added that her animals and rescue ranch were okay, which she says was the 'most important thing'.

"Stay safe everyone." Warren said.

Eugene Levy

The Schitt’s Creek favourite is another celebrity who lost their home in the flames.

He'd previously told the LA Times that he had been caught in a gridlock while attempting to evacuate the dangerous wildfires.

“The smoke looked pretty black and intense of Temescal Canyon,” he added. "I couldn't see any flames, but the smoke was very dark."

Anna Faris

The Daily Mail reported that the House Bunny star had lost her $5 million home in the Pacific Palisades as a result of the fire.

Faris' representatives later informed PEOPLE magazine on Wednesday (8 January) that 'Anna and her family are safe and very grateful'.

Cameron Mathison

Cameron Mathison shared a video of what was left of his property following the blaze onto his Instagram.

He wrote in the caption: "Our home where our kids were raised and where they wanted to raise their own someday.

"Thanks to all who reached out and checked in."

He also told Good Morning America that he'd lost various 'irreplaceable' possessions, including baby photos.

Mark Hamill

Star Wars star, Mark Hamill, announced that a ‘last-minute’ evacuation notice forced him to flee his Malibu home, which was later destroyed in the fire.

He also urged people on social media to 'stay safe'.

Jamie Lee Curtis

The Halloween actor and film producer appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where she felt she was about to 'cry'.

She said: "It’s f**king gnarly. This is literally where I live. Everything. The market I shop in, the schools my kids go to… Many many many many friends now have lost their homes, so it is, it’s a really awful situation."

She also shared a video on social media, writing: "Our beloved neighborhood is gone."

Mandy Moore

This is Us star Mandy Moore revealed she was 'devastated' as she watched her neighbourhood burn down.

Speaking about the loss on Instagram, she wrote: "Honestly, I’m in shock and feeling numb for all so many have lost, including my family."

Alabama and Landon Barker

Travis Baker’s children Alabama, 19, and Landon, 21, confirmed they’d been evacuated from the prestigious Los Angeles area.

The star also urged people to stay safe amongst the chaos.

Milo Ventimiglia

Actor Milo Ventimiglia watched on security cameras as his LA home burnt down, but the star described it as a 'life imitating art' experience after filming a similar scene for This Is Us.

Speaking to CBS News about his loss, he said: "It’s heavy. You start thinking about all the memories in different parts of the house and whatnot, and then you see your neighbours' houses and everything kind of around and your heart just breaks."

Mel Gibson

The Mad Max star confirmed that his LA home had been destroyed in the fire while he was filming an episode of Joe Rogen's podcast.

In an interview with NewsNation’s Elizabeth Vargas Reports, he said: "It’s kind of devastating. It’s emotional.

"I was doing the Rogan podcast… And [I was] kind of ill at ease while we were talking, because I knew my neighbourhood was on fire, so I thought, I wonder if my place is still there."
