Disturbing new details in the murder investigation of former Miss Switzerland finalist Kristina Joksimovic have this week emerged, including news that her decapitated head was tragically discovered by her own father.
The former model hit headlines earlier this year after it was discovered that her own husband - who is named by local media as 'Thomas' - had viciously murdered her before mutilating her body with a blender in their shared home.

According to BZ Basel, the 38-year-old mother-of-two was strangled and dismembered in a laundry room inside the property, before Thomas proceeded to 'puree' some of her body parts in a blender.
Whilst it was initially reported that a 'third party' had discovered Kristina's remains at the home, it has since emerged that her own father was the one to discover what was left of his daughter.
A court in Switzerland this week heard that the former pageant frontrunner's family first grew concerned over her wellbeing after her children's nursery got in touch, claiming they had not heard from her.

Kristina's parents then travelled to her home, only to be confronted by Thomas, who claimed not to know of his wife's whereabouts.
"For hours, he pretended as if nothing was wrong, chatting to her father and making dinner for everyone before tucking the children into their beds," one of her friends later told the MailOnline.
After investigating the home for clues, however, the model's father was left devastated after stumbling across a bin bag, in which he could see strands of his daughter's golden hair.

"When he opened the black bin bag, he saw her cut off head with the hair still attached," the friend said.
It was then that Kristina's father is said to have ran 'screaming' from the property, asking a passerby to contact the authorities.
Thomas claimed to investigators upon his arrest that he'd been the one to discover his wife's body in the laundry room, after which he appealed for release from custody.

This was later denied by the Federal Court in Lausanne, after which he confessed to having killed his wife, insisting the act had been in self-defence.
The murderer claimed Kristina had attacked him with a knife, though this was contradicted by an autopsy which found she had been strangled to death.
The coroner's report determined that Kristina had also been 'dismembered in the laundry room with a jigsaw power tool, knife and secateurs'.
It was also reported that parts of her body had been 'pureed' with a hand blender, whilst others were dissolved using a chemical solution.
