A woman who had a brief relationship with Russell Brand several years ago has commented on the investigation against him, which contains accusations of rape and sexual abuse.
A joint investigation by The Times and Channel 4's Dispatches show has spoken to several women who allege that Brand raped and abused them during a period of his career between 2006 and 2013.
The 48-year-old has denied the 'very serious criminal allegations' in a video posted to YouTube ahead of the Dispatches documentary, which was shown on Channel 4 last night (16 September).

One of the women accusing Brand claims that he raped her at his home in Los Angeles and was treated at a rape crisis centre the same day.
The investigation showed texts where she said she sent Brand the message 'When a girl say[s] NO it means no' and he allegedly responded to say that he was 'very sorry'.
Another woman claims that Brand assaulted her when she was 16, alleging that he referred to her as 'the child' during a three month relationship and that he 'forced his penis down her throat' and made her choke until she punched him in to stomach to make him stop.

A third woman alleges that she was sexually assaulted by Brand in Los Angeles and claims she was threatened by him not to take legal action or tell anyone else.
Four women in total who wished to remain anonymous spoke to The Times and Dispatches as part of their investigation into him.
Rhian Sugden, a model and former partner of Brand's who had a brief relationship with him, has posted on social media to comment on her relationship with him.
She wrote on X: "I had reporters and Dispatches knocking on my parents door months back asking for information on Russell Brand as we briefly dated when I was younger.

"He was always very pleasant to me and treated me well."
"Despite him attempting to s**g his way through other page 3 girls and getting declined he soon went full circle and joined a ‘No More Page 3 campaign’ to get us shut down.
"I can’t comment on the allegations that have been made against him, I’ve no scoop on the fella except his hair used to smell bad and he definitely wasn’t the one that got away."

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police commented about the Times and Dispatches investigation into Russell Brand.
They said: "We are aware of media reporting of a series of allegations of sexual assault.
"At this time, we have not received any reports in relation to this. If anyone believes they have been the victim of a sexual assault, no matter how long ago it happened, we would encourage them to contact police."
Tyla has contacted Rhian Sugden for further comment.
