BBC presenter Jermaine Jenas will no longer be hosting Match of the Day and The One Show, the broadcaster has confirmed today (22 August).
The 41-year-old swapped the pitch for presenting after playing as a central midfielder for clubs Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Queens Park Rangers.
He has been removed from the air and will no longer represent either show.

A spokesperson for the BBC told LADbible: “We can confirm that he is no longer part of our presenting line up.”
The BBC offered no further elaboration on the reason for the decision.
Jenas presented The One Show for the last time on 22 July, and 4 May marked his final appearance on the Match of The Day panel.
Jenas was considered a rising talent at the broadcaster, who had the potential to take over the reigns of Gary Lineker in the future.

Following a knee injury he was unable to fully recover from, Jenas had previously announced his retirement from football in 2016 on BBC Radio 4's Today programme.
This spurred on his foray into presenting, and he became part of The One Show's talent in 2020 and later went on to become a regular host in 2021.
His presence on the show led to him being on screens for the BBC's Euros 2024 coverage.

Jenas also offers football commentary for TNT Sports and has had gigs as a host for Formula E.
Jenas, who lives in Hertfordshire, was fined £2,010 and banned from driving for six months in October 2002 for speeding and using his mobile phone in both hands while driving on the M25 motorway.
He and his wife, Ellie, have two daughters together and a son.
He also has a daughter from a previous relationship, who lives in the United States.

The PR firm that represents him, Soapbox London, still lists him on their website.
